I was recently looking to make my first real estate purchase and was quite satisfied with the service provided. The inspector could see that I was not understanding everything that was being shared and made it simple and easy for me to understand. Ultimately, I opted to not buy the house as it required too much to fix it up, but glad that I spent the $400 instead of how much more it would've cost me to make the repairs.

My husband and I made a very expensive mistake buying our first house without a house inspection. We moved at the end of April this year and have noticed many uncomfortable flaws around the house. So we decided to have a house inspection with John on September 20th, 2011. He listened to our concerns and went through the house with us. He explained whenever he found some issues and suggested recommendations what we need to do. He was extremely thorough and patient. For instance, although we were told from our previous owners that the furnace was maintained every year, John indicated that our furnace had a problem and suggested us to call for a service immediately. We contacted the service and learnt that our heat exchanger was cracked and that we had a serious health risk due to high Carbon Monoxide exposure. The furnace was shut down by the service on the same day. We also were told from our realtor and previous owners that our electrical was updated and had no problem, but John suggested otherwise. John also indicated few other problems in the house that we might not have noticed by ourselves. He provided us how to tackle the problems in what order. Because of John, we are able to adjust our priorities in our house renovation. My husband and I know that we made a mistake by not doing a house inspection prior to the purchase. But John helped us identifying the problems for us and gave us right direction to fix the problems. We highly recommend John to anyone who thinks to purchase a house.

I 've used John for several home inspections over the years. I find his manner thorough, and straighforward. He takes his time to make sure you are comfortable and understand the issues. He was available afterwards for advice, clarification and questions.

John Tackaberry is an exceptional home inspector. He was on time, professional and did not rush the inspection. He was incredibly thorough and was able to answer all of our questions. He laid out a plan for us detailing what things we should take care of right away and what to do in the near and distant future. I did a lot of research before choosing a home inspectors and finally decided to go with John. John completed the inspection for our new home today. He was very thorough and took his time to inspect everything. As we went through the house, we asked a lot of questions and raised some concerns. I had John inspect my home when I purchased it 6 years ago. Most of what he recommended was done, and his predictions were so accurate. I've recently had some water seepage, and before calling a plumber to rip my home apart for an astronomical fee, I called John back to re-inspect. The problem is minor, and as it turns out, the ONE thing I hadn't done of the recommendations he made. Before anyone does anything to his or her home, my recommendation is that you first have John out to inspect it!

John is a really good guy who actually cares about his work. He helped us not only with our inspection but also gave us references for other tradespeople - even six months later. He is very knowledgeable and won't advise you to do anything that would cost you money unneccesarily. That makes us really happy!

John did the home inspection on a home that I was purchasing. He was on time, and took his time during the inspection. He was very thorough and explained everything to me.
