Sells and services

They made a mistake with the order number and canceled the wrong item then just saying sorry and the item will be shipped in another three weeks
The customer service was rude over the phone and when I was trying to explain that I need the item to be shipped earlier as it was their mistake he raised his voice and said stop talking please I asked to speak with the supervisor which of course was not available
Never go back to this place again and will definitely cancel all my orders

Zero stars

Absolutely the worst customer service ever in the history of companies, I have my own company and have dealt with hundreds of vendors over the last 35 years and this is the worst experience ever. Their customer service is all AI based and even if you talk to a human all they want you to do is restart the AI process again. I have a sofabed with 2 broken hinges that I have sent photos of twice that they claim they cant tell that they are broken. When I get the email response from them, the link they send back to show me the photos they reviewed gives me a 404 error message so I cant see them. I paid $2000 for this pullout and it didnt even last 6 months and broke after under 6 uses. NEVER go to Ashley unless you want to throw your money away

Couch

The staff were okay enough when we bought the couch but they didn't update us when the shipping was delayed and where very rude of the phone.

We bought a couch end of December. We were told it would be delivered end of March and were told it may take up to 4 months. March came we recieved a voicemail saying the couch wouldn't be in till the second week of April.

The second week of April came and went. We heard nothing. I got my boyfriend to call in. He was told first week of May and that he would get weekly updates. First week of May came and went. We had heard nothing since we had called in April.

I got my boyfriend to call on a Sunday The sale person refused and told him he would call back on Wednesday with an updated report. I called and spoke to the salesperson. He immediately wasn't listen to me and started talking about his work schedule which wasn't relevant to the conversation at all. Eventually I got him to understand I was asking for an ETA on the couch. He said he would call back on Wednesday. I told him that was unacceptable since as far as we knew the couch should be in stock. He argued and eventually agreed to check and call back.

When he called back I asked him how come he couldn't do that when my boyfriend asked nicely. He then told me he calls his clients every week. I told him he never updated us. He argued with me. The entire time he was rude, condescending and didn't see really listen to me.

We did get the couch and it is nice enough but I wouldn't shop there again since the salesman was so rude of the phone with me.

POOR, Crappy Service. Not Recommended at all.

There's so MANY reasons why I do NOT recommend this store to my family and friends, and to everyone.
- they have given us an estimate date as to when we would possibly receive the dining set that we ordered.
- it was a month wait which is sort of long, but the worse thing is that even after waitig for a month, the furniture that we order, was not delivered yet.
-NO ONE had the courtesy to call and advise us that the shipment was delayed and we have to wait for 2more weeks. POOR customer service and empathy.
- when you cancel, they charge 20% even if it's their fault. They do not take the responsibility and just leave their clients hanging.
- they DO NOT CARE as long as they get the full payment!

Do yourselves a favor and do not even consider getting your furniture from this crappy, all-show off store. It's a waste of energy, effort and time.

5 Stars

My wife and I had an excellent experience buying our new furniture at Ashley. The salesperson really worked with us for two hours to find exactly what we were looking for. They have many different styles and their prices are very reasonable. We would highly recommend going there if you are in the market for new furniture.

Damaged Dinning Table

Very disappointing experience at Ashley Homestore Coquitlam. I got dinning table and they delivered a table with 2 chips/dents on it. It was probably caused during the delivery or when they assembled the table at their warehouse. I immediately notified the delivery guy and he said no problem. Give store a call and they will sort it out for you. I even had the delivery guy note down the damage on the delivery receipt. I contacted Carol, Customer Manager at Coquitlam store and sent her the pictures of damage. After few back and forth, she finally agreed to send inspector after 3 weeks to look at the damage and inspector when arrived first tried to convince me that is a wood pattern in the table. The table I ordered is plain table and has no indentation or rough surface. After we got in an argument he admitted that its a defect but he said "its Ashley's acceptable level of defect" and they are not able to do anything about it. I bought 5 years extended warranty and even with that warranty he said they wouldn't be able to fix this.

Completely ridiculous customer service & their warranty is a sc*m. I took the delivery in good faith that they will fix the error but they completely screw me over. They delivered damaged product and now I have to live with it. Carol even threatened that if I didn't take the delivery that day, they would have still not made a refund and charged me the restocking fee even when the problem was in their product.

I would suggest people to avoid these scumbags and go to other reputable stores down the street.
