You're most welcome Jerry! We're glad to be of service. Especially when we get the feedback indicating that we're on the right track -- helping to make a positive difference. Warm IS wonderful ! especially with the sudden blizzard starting up today. Hope you got plenty of popcorn... for weekend Movie Night with family & friends -- all happy to be 'snug' and snowed in. Spray Foam Insulation in Basement

I cannot say enough good things about Avenue Insulation. I was very lucky to find them. I needed insulation for a wall in my basement that had to be ripped out to the studs due to a waterproofing/mold issue. I decided to go with spray foam due to the superior insulation qualities and its stability (my basement had always been very cold). Andy came out to evaluate the situation and quote on the job. He is a gem - very honest, professional, thorough and patient. He answered all my questions (and I had many!) both that day and later via email and the phone. Laara in the office was a pleasure to deal with. Stefan did the installation, and both he and his assistant were terrific. They really took their time to figure out how to do the best possible job and paid attention to every detail. My basement was left clean and neat. I was thrilled with result and wish I could do this for my whole house! Despite the fact that my job was a small one, Avenue Insulation made me feel that this job was as important as any other job. I have worked with a lot of trades over the past two years, and Avenue Insulation has been one of the best.

"T" stands for "Thankful" with your most considerate and thorough review. Our team certainly appreciates the acknowledgement which keeps us cheerful... Merci beaucoup! And though it's not uncommon to "wish" to foam the whole house (where possible) it's becoming VERY common to do more at at a later stage. We get lots of customers that are so blown away by the results... they later venture to renovate or extend. Yet even a small basement makes a HUGE difference with foam -- as you know. Glad it's working for you. Best wishes for a cozy late winter season from all of us at AVENUE. It's been our pleasure!

Spray Foam in 3rd Floor and Bedroom

We hired Avenue Insulation to spray foam our third floor from the ceiling peak to down to the exterior walls. We also had them spray 2 exterior walls in another bedroom.

Andy was great and provided a very competitive quotation. Laara was helpful in answering our many questions and making all of the arrangements for the work to be done.

Stefan and his assistant were great when it came to the actual work. It was a large job that got done in a day and a half. The quality of work was very high and the change in our house was noticable immediately.

At least 2 other trades who have been in our house since have commented on what a good job was done with the spray foam.

We'll definiately be calling Avenue Insulation back when it comes time to do the rest of the house.

Thanks Matt! We are indeed very fortunate to have so many WONDERFUL appreciative customers offering us unsolicited feedback. Many thanks to you all ! We work hard to offer our best, and there are times when a bridge of understanding goes unimaginably far; such as when things go wrong (as they do) like truck breakdowns, equipment failure, freak accidents = delays, delays. Being essentially "a chemical factory on wheels" our industry has a longer list of checkpoints than most construction related services. Lots of quality attention is required to keep her balanced & flowing. And like any other company we are not immune to setbacks (!) Good timing on a job with seamless service, is an enormous blessing no company can ever guarantee 100%. Life's designed to keep us humble (yikes) and if we're wise we'll eventually see the gift in it. We certainly look forward to continued service with you Matt, hope you'll go gently on us (just kidding) though we promise to work to standard -- not all results nor their contributing factors are the same. It was a push to get the installation done as fast as we did last time. Let's be open that day when it comes. See you then!

attic insulation

this may have been the best experience with a trade supplier i've had in my recent series following a move into a new home (and most of them have been at least good). andy took loads of time to check out my entire insulation situation, diagnose it, suggest various options (many not involving his company's services) and just generally answer questions. then the actual insulation job couldn't have been more smooth and well organized. plus, the price was competitive. absolutely use these guys if you need this kind of work!

Thanks Joanna! The bottom line means different things to different people. Yet meaningful work is ALL about what one brings to it. Certainly where time permits -- we do what we can -- to go the extra mile. Future customers please DO understand… we still need to be on schedule.

Replaced Attic Insulation With Spray Foam

I've got an old house and after doing an Eco Audit on my home, found out my attic was full of moldy insulation with tons of heat leaking out through a non-insulated hatch. I had various estimates from insulation companies but I really trusted the advice of Avenue Insulation and hired them to do the job. They spent a day removing all the old moldy pink stuff and did an excellent job cleaning it all out. Then they came another day and put a layer of spray foam on the attic. The downside is you have to find other accommodations for a day since it's toxic when they spray it so my wife and cats and I had to stay at a friends place for the night. The upside is that this stuff really works. You can walk on it like a floor. You don't need all these layers of the pink insulation and it seals every little hole. Avenue also built a nice magnetic sealing hatch to stop the heat from escaping and installed proper venting in my attic to make sure the air flows. The foreman Andy was extremely nice and great to work with with. I really trusted his opinion. The result after a year is my heating bills have gone way down and my upstairs bedrooms are nice and warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I highly recommend going the spray foam route and highly recommend Avenue insulation. It will save you money in the end.

CATS and especially your wife, are definitely to be respected. Even if it means they had to be relocated, including yourself (lol) of necessity for foam to happen. To comprehend offgassing during application, which one would largely wish to avoid: many people can relate to varethane in the finishing of old floors or furniture etc. Nasty stuff -- that noone in their right mind would deliberately inhale nor choose to breathe BEFORE it cures. Sprayfoam though not as strong, likewise has a reasonable time for need to vacate premises. 24 hrs is the minimum manufacturers recomendation for foam. Funny how 30 yrs ago a hardier breed of 'tough lunged' onlookers barely batted an eyelid as hardwood floors were being sanded and routinely varethaned -- such was our supreme ignorance of direct vapor exposure back then. Now we are far more thoughtful of our health. And as with any curing time with building materials to be respected, common sense applies.
Glad you crossed the great divide and chose foam, which makes a HUGE difference in older attics that are missing an 'irreplacable vapor barrier' (unless of course you drop the whole darn ceiling & re-drywall). Now you can proudly boast of your never-ending-Energy Savings that efficiently caps your home. We hope you enjoy your current cozy winter & many more seasons to come. Hot or cold! Many thanks for your kind thoughts and generous contribution. Your review is outstanding and constructive for other readers. As it gives us that much more to respond to. Yay!

Spray Foam our basement

Sorry about the late review, but I had to wait until the cold came! Our basement is warmer than our main floor, to the delight of our tenants! Andy is extremely knowledgeable and it shows that he loves what he does. Very reasonable prices; he inspires confidence, much more than low-bidders that quoted. I highly recommend his services!

Basement spray foam insulation

We hired Avenue to spray Walltite ECO foam on two walls of our semi-detached house. We had not yet framed up the exterior walls, and Andy said that he and some of us crew would do the framing themselves, since they knew how best to do it in a way that would work well with the spray foam. The price for both framing and insulation was quite reasonable, and all of the work was done in a few days about a week after we first called. I had a few calls back and forth with Andy and Lara to arrange everything, but they are both very easygoing and responsible.

I would give 10/10 for the insulation, and 7/10 for the framing. The insulation installation was great - the guy who did it was thorough and courteous. The only problem is that when it came time to put up drywall, our contractor discovered that the framing was a combination of two techniques, and resulted in a barely perceptible inward slope at the bottom of each wall. Now that everything is complete it's not visible to the naked eye, but it did make installing trim more difficult.
As a result, I would highly recommend Avenue for doing insulation, but be hesitant if they offer to do something else.

Hi Jonathan! Thanks for a great review. And for expressing what sounds like an understandable framing concern, which as it happens, we only heard about through this review. As we do aim to respond to all jobsite concerns --- as they arise --- obviously not all situations/errors allow for response/correction in the moment. Especially when time is running and the job is done! Hence we can appreciate the delay in letting us know. Heck it's taken us this long to get back to you too. Since generally it does take us a while to respond to our reviews (busy Contractors can likely relate) Yet we are enormously grateful for these reviews no less. Your shared experience helps us to grow and be at our best. So thanks again for taking the time to dialogue! Andy will be calling you.

Mater Bedroom, in 100 years old house

Lara and Andy was great to work with
After taking down the ceiling and all the wall down in the master bedroom I knew I have to get insulation for the room who was so cold and drafty in winter. After many quotation I call Avenue insulation and when Andy came to my place to give me a estimation, the connection was good, professional and friendly. Andy give some suggestion about opening the ceiling and the subfloor of the dormer who is outside of the house just over the porch (veranda), very helpful.
First the price was more than the other estimation I got, but he came back and give me a better price. Very happy with that team. And I find out between the spray foam price the and the conventional insulation + installation is not that much more and less trouble. and I Highly recommended

Gutting & foaming with closed-cell sprayfoam IS the way to go. Especially in your case Gilbert, when you've got a lot of 'transitional spaces' with typical air leakage. It's becoming increasingly well known that conventional insulation will NEVER address the existing limitations found in a lot of older homes. Your Ceiling slopes (with limited cavity depth) + Front Porch isssue were great places to have professionally foamed. Thanks for sharing your experience -- so others may learn as well. Salut !!!

Insulating crawl space under my kitchen

Thanks Howard. Your own good nature & efficiency minded enthusiasm deserve credit here too. Making it that much easier for us to do our job well. And the hoped for result: in your case = no more icy ground level floors in Winter! (at least not coming up from your Crawlspaces) We'll look forward to your feedback when "Frosty the Snowman" returns. In the meantime let's all enjoy Summer. Note: regarding seasonal discomforts where quality insulation is concerned -- it pays to plan ahead!
