Moving from a house to a condo
Thank-you for this review.I'm sorry that you feel so enraged about our company,I believe that a rating of "0" is completely unfair. On December 4th you signed a contract for us to relocate your personal effects to storage. Our movers arrived at 9am to start loading the truck. All of your furniture was blanket wrapped as we had promised earlier in previous discussions. We also inventoried all of your contents in your home before wrapping and loading onto the truck. On moving day you were given the option of purchasing additional "Move Protection", you decided you wanted additional coverage. We advised it was $3/$1000 of declared value,to move into storage, and $2/$1000 of declared value/month for storage. Also right beside your signature, we indicate that there is also "a claim administration fee". We do not try to hide this, in fact it is the largest print on the face of our contract,we do also high-lite this so our customers see it. We aso had you sign a "Storage Proceedure", this also indicates our proceedure for redelivering your goods to the new address. Upon completion of loading, you were "surprised" we were going to unload the truck in our warehouse.
We do not leave the contents on our truck, as some other movers do. If we left your stuff on our truck (for 30 days-the length your stuff was in storage) we would only be able to do 12 jobs per year. I asked you if you were satisfied with the movers work and I believe you said you were impressed with their work. I believe that you underestimated the amount of time to wrap, inventory, and load the truck, and then deliver to our warehouse. When we called the day before to deliver your goods we reminded you of our policy "cash on delivery" (this is standard with EVERY moving company) coming out of storage. When we delivered your goods you claimed your table had a scratch on it from moving it, it is clearly indicated on your inventory that it had been previously scratched. As for the other item ,I'm not sure, as it had not been noted on the contract. "0" should be reserved for movers who steal your stuff, swear at you, and put "extras" on your bill. PLEASE BLOG FAIRLY!!
