C & R Paving Inc

The front of my house was a disaster no more asphalt, broken stones etc…. So I decided to call different contractors. After receiving numerous estimates in regards to paving and interlocking stone work, I selected C&R Paving for the following reasons:

BBB accredited.

Willing to take time on numerous occasions in order to answer all my questions, and there were many of them.

The work crew were polite and once more receptive to my comments and questions.

What I like the most is that the owner Brian worked has hard has his men, and at the same time he was able to supervise all his employees; If something was not done to his satisfaction he was guiding them, sign of Brian’s passion for his work and his people even at the busiest time of the season.

I now have a beautiful entrance simple and methodical as per my request made with good quality products and good pricing.

I am very pleased with their work and Brian’s creativity. I will recommend them to people that I know.

The work involved some paving and a great deal of interlocking stone with some large landscape stone work. The work was done promptly, and enhanced the property extensively. We received several comments from neighbours on the improved appearance of the property. The work was clean, efficient and imaginative.

Had C&R paving excavate, form and pour a pad for a new garage. They also paved the 6 or so feet of driveway approach to garage. Both the concrete and paving work was completed quickly and done to a high standard - the workers were polite and diligent and I would be happy to recommend C&R Paving.

VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!! Veridian Connections hired C&R Paving to repave the lower section of the residential driveways on my street that were torn up due to an underground electrical upgrade. I was one of the few residences that paid an additional fee to have the rest of my driveway paved. Between November 2012 to July 2013 I made numerous attempts to contact Brian via phone and email in regards to inform him of problem areas on my driveway. Certain areas of my driveway which had sunken and areas where significant roller ridges and unevenness was present. At first I was ignored. Than I was given the run around. Than I was ignored again. Than one day as I was outside cutting my lawn Brian showed up unexpectedly and approached me in a very rude and unprofessional way. After I took the time to point out the problem areas on my driveway he became increasingly argumentative and when I didn't agree with his explanation he than began to personally insult me repeatedly. When I found his demeanour was becoming borderline harassing I asked him to leave my property. After it became apparent that Brian was not interested in fixing my driveway or resolving matters I than contacted the Better Business Bureau to officially report my complaint. Between October 2013 to February 2014 the BBB was assisting me in contacting Brian to reach a resolution. Instead of sticking to the issue of the driveway Brian than began accusing me without any factual evidence of writing a slanderous and despicable review about him and his company on this website. I adamantly denied his accusation though I did take the time to read some of the reviews posted by other customers and to no surprise Brian seems to have a pattern of poor workmanship, business ethics and resolving complaints. I've also now taken the liberty of writing my own review based on my honest personal experience with Brian and C&R Paving. We have yet to reach a resolution even after three months of assistance from the BBB. Hope this review helps anyone who wants to avoid the experience that i'm having with Brian and C&R Paving.

C&R Paving Inc. resurfaced our driveway and landscaped the front walkway and gardens They did a FANTASTIC job. I very seldom do any reviews, but I felt it appropriate to do one about this Landscaping company. I got 3 quotes from 3 different landscaping companies, C&R was not the most expensive and they were not the cheapest. I liked the fact they were a member of the Better Business Bureau. I found them on the internet, called them in the morning Brian the owner, called back within the hour. Rick and Brian came to my house that same day and discussed what I wanted and the cost. We liked there ideas and the price, gave them a deposit with payment to follow as job was completed. They arrived at my house to start the job when they said they would. It is a good feeling when the owner of the company works on the job with his crew, you know they care about the quality of the work. Brian and Mike(foreman) allowed me to talk about the work they were doing as they progressed. This allowed my wife and I to incorporate some personal ideas into the gardens and get exactly what we wanted regarding the landscaping. The whole crew (5) were polite and took their time to do a QUALITY job. They just finished today, everything cleaned up, complete satisfaction and the gardens looking great.

C&R Paving originally came to my house 14 years ago to put in a patio and steps from my back door. Fourteen years later, I am still enjoying my patio due to the workmanship that has made it stand up to the elements.

So pleased with their work, I decided to hire C&R Paving again this year to install my front staircase with railing and walkway, garden wall, tree ring, sod and driveway. After a discussion, the manager came up with a potential design. Once again, they exceeded my expectations. The stone chosen complements the brick of my house. The steps and walkway are wide and sturdy. It is quite clear that everything was measured correctly with a solid foundation. I have received compliments on the enhancement to the whole appearance of the house. The manager and his team were friendly and courteous. I highly recommend C&R Paving for your paving and landscaping requirements.

I was introduced to Brian at C & R Paving Inc to lay a concrete curb around my driveway only. But the asphalt company I originally started with quickly became the nightmare most people complain about, Brian and his crew came in and rectified all my stress and heartache. C&R Paving Inc laid concrete and regraded the gravel for asphalt and gave me an amazing driveway. I thank god for people/contractors that care about the job they do for consumers and care about the people enough to take care of the issues that arise with shady contractors /salesmen. I look forward to completing phase 2

I really wanted to like Brian and feel comfortable with his service. However, I found him to be pushy, ignorant and VERY unprofessional. This was before the work was even completed. We used his service as it was suggested by Veridian, who was completing work and untilized C&R's service as a contractor. I hope that they review this decision and do not enter any further agreements. The finished product was very poor. We called Brian back to advise that we had a lot of cracks in the driveway, prior to any car driviing on it. Now, approximately 1 month after, we have weeds growing through the sides of it. Please be very wary of this company. You will NOT get a response back from them and if you do, it will end up costing you more.
