Falconcrest Homes

The staff are not concerned with customer service by any means which is surprising as they claim to be built upon superior customer service. Very poor treatment overall, no place to escalate any concerns, as they are ignored at all levels.

I would never recommend this builder to others. I wish I knew about homestars.com before I purchased my home from Falconcrest Homes. I have had issues with this builder and there so-called business practices since the purchase date.The quality of my home is horrible. Home is not insulated properly as I hear every single thing people say down the street.

First they installed the side door in the wrong area, not in the location that was documented in my agreement.

I had my kitchen backsplash replaced 3 times because of incompetent vendors. Even after the 3rd time, builder told us they were doing us a favour as the marble title didn't match the existing titles in the kitchen.

My job now is to redo most of the simple things that the builder failed to do properly. (eg. cocking around windows, sinks and doors etc.)

Claudio needs to follow up with the contractors, as they are not consistent in the work they are doing. (e.g. they would paint the exterior trim of houses on one side of the street but not the other)

So fed up with this company. Very small company that lacks quality. Theres a reason why many people haven't heard of Falconcrest Homes.

We've had multiple problems with this builder since the day we moved in. Its been almost a year and we're still having problems with the place. Here is a list of things things that weren't done properly:
-Tub slopes outward, so water drains onto the floor
-They installed shower doors to stop the leaking, but put them in backwards
-stand-up shower leaked
-uncooperative when it came time to address these issues (eg. "its supposed to be that way")
-booster fan for dryer shorting out
-air conditioner improperly installed
-extremely poor finishing (paint on banisters, dead phone jacks, etc)
-poorly installed washroom fan
-leaking windows when it rains
-drywall taping coming off

The only things that were fixed to our satisfaction was the stand-up shower and booster fan. Everything else was "out of warranty". They also mentioned that there were lots of "upgrades". I mentioned that I would've been happy with less upgrades and proper installation. They complained that it wasn't their fault, but the trades that they contracted to. I don't see how that's my problem.

I am giving this Builder a poor quality and overall review as I am not impressed with the quality of the home that we purchased from them. It is very cold and windy outside and we really feel a big difference in the house. We were even told by their "window and door" people that they are "not the best" windows and doors for the houses that they built. We are in a semi-detached home and felt we could hear our neighbours through the common wall very clearly. I have actually had an instance where they tried to fix their error by "putting a band-aid over it". We finally had a real contractor come and fix some of their errors since they couldn't seem to handle it. Once the contractor got here, a few things were found that we would have never known about had the walls not been opened up. We wrote to the Builder to try and recover the funds we had to spent to fix the problems, they didn't even have the courtesy to acknowledge our letter. The contractor did comment that the our house had some upgrades that the Builder never even told us about. But in the end, I am more concerned being in a "up to code" home rather than having fancy stuff.
