we bought floors from grand floors in Barrie the guy seemed nice and told me i could buy more than i needed and not to worry i can bring back the rest. so I did and he said NO. so now i'm out almost 500 bucks because he stretched the truth so I would buy more wood!

Two years ago we got this company to do our hardwood floors and stairs. Many, many , many times they either did not show up when we were told they were going to be here or they showed up late. Most days they had to leave early due to materials not being available. The project was supposed to take 4-5 days. It ended up taking over 3 WEEKS and I am STILL looking at RED stained risers and BROWN walnut stained stairs!!! He even came back a second time about 2 weeks later to add more RED (to deepen the colour) because I had called and complained that the stains did not match.
The hardwood next to my master bathroom door is buckling. I was told it was because the ceramics were done wrong after they had installed the hardwood floor....funny thing is the ceramics in the bathroom were done 5 years earlier!!! When I told them that he didn't say anything and was met with cold stare and shrug of shoulders. I asked for someone to clean up the mess the stainer left on the wall and ceiling around the stairs. I was told that when I painted it would be covered up...it did not...the stain seeped through...even with Fresh Start!
I will never have these people back in my home! I've learned a valuable lesson...STAY FAR,FAR AWAY!!!

Update: I just received a complaint from this company on another site for my poor review. I had to edit some of my review since it was not "appropriate". I have also edited this sites review to prevent any more complaints. I encourage anyone to contact me to receive pictures of their poor workmanship and a copy of my invoices stating items that were to be fixed that never did get done. You can challenge me on lateness, missing or late products and heresay statements but you cannot challenge pictures or actual invoices!!!

We were super impressed with the professional and kind manner the gentelmen from Grand treated us . We live in an older home and wanted our new hardwood to look like the old hardwood in the other parts of the house. Grand gave us a fair price, did an excellent job, and were very kind! We love our floors!!

We used Grand Flooring in Barrie to insatll Pine floor in our cottage in Muskoka. The company prefinishes the fine flooring in its own factory. No mess at the cottage. Harder finish than done on sit. Great work. Reasonable price.
