Hickory Dickory Decks

I hired Hickory Dickory Deck to replace my existing back deck and privacy fence. John was wonderful to deal with and he showed me composite samples and provided design suggestions. He also showed me samples of deck railings and incorporated a gate as I requested.
John went out of his way and responded quickly to all my questions and concerns. Despite the heat of this summer, John and his crew worked hard to complete the project.

Our experience working with Bob, Art and Matteo was great! We were introduced to Bob through our friends and from our initial meeting until the finished project he was genuine, responsive and friendly. Bob spent a couple hours with us walking through the Hickory Dickory Decks outdoor showroom and was very patient when we asked question after question on options available.
The project started on schedule, and we met Art and Matteo the two trusted deck builders! Art certainly impressed us by showcasing his knowledge and experience of deck building. What we appreciated most about Art was his can do attitude when we consulted over the detailed work that we were anticipating. Arts commitment to customer service was refreshing! He took the time to discuss details during each stage of the project, ensuring that the final look would be just what we envisioned. I would say we challenged Art and Matteo from their comfort zones, and they responded by thinking through all the details and coming up with a plan to get the project completed as we wanted. Great job Art! Matteo was Arts trusted protégé - always on time, always kept the area tidy and genuinely interested in learning and listening.
Our two-level deck included bench seating and a privacy wall with horizontal louvers. We had very particular looks that we were expecting and Art and Matt worked meticulously to ensure every detail we wanted was reflected in the bench seating and privacy wall. Not only were we very pleased with the final deck we really enjoyed talking with Art and Matt. Our neighbours were complimentary of the deck and the professionalism exhibited by Art and Matt. We also appreciated that Bob remained part of the project from beginning to end by dropping in occasionally to check on the progress of the build and ensure that Art and Matteo had the tools and material they needed in a timely manner. Needless to say, we highly recommend the team!

Arturo did a great job for us.
Our contractor that we originally hired left us with less then half finished and a bunch of mistakes.
Arturo came through for us. He was professional, understanding and gave us some options to get our project done and relieve our stress.
He was already booked for the season but managed to fit us in when he could to get it done.
The product he used for the railings and privacy panels were top quality.
His crew he used want above and beyond to make us happy and worked quickly.
They were so polite and even though we were happy the job was done hated to see them go.
We've had many compliments about our deck and can't wait for next season.
The mistake we made was not making them our 1st choice.

Since starting the project, the communication and dedication to service were great; Matt and Team answered all our questions and provided reassurances of the quality job to be done. They provided us with a design and a detailed quote of the project, also took time to provided more details on demand. Communications were nice, fast and effective. The work started on time and ended on time. The crew was super professional in their work and demeanour, and finished the work as needed. An improvement recommendation was issued and we accepted the idea and budget. We are very happy with the results and are enjoying our new deck! Thank you all!

Extremely happy with recent installation of composite decking to replace our wood one while looking for low maintenance options. On first visit, we were very impressed with Geoffs professionalism. He presented us with various options and pricing as well as possible design ideas. Kosal and the installation team did an excellent job with much attention to detail. They arrived promptly each day, worked quietly and cleaned up site at end of each day. They answered questions and accomodated a change request for skirting partway through process and finished first stage in a few days. When aluminum railing was ready, they returned promptly to install and we are thrilled with the results. We are happily enjoying the new deck as our our friends and family who are equally impressed. We highly recommend Geoff, Hosal and the entire team from HDD Scarborough.

The price quoted was the price we were billed which was reasonable. Dwayne did an amazing job building the deck.
