Had bought a malm set and the instructions in the box were vague, parts were missing, and service was poor in terms of getting information about completing construction.

For well designed simple furniture, Ikea is obviously a top choice. Although not high end products, most are well made. Assembly is well documented so the parts fit. Finally, good return policy with warranty.

Went to store to find kitchen cabinets. Was shown different styles and colours. Was informed and had a computer generated model done of our kitchen. Salesman was well informed and very helpful. Will shop again when needed.

Bought a basic bathroom sink/cabinet unit. The brackets for attaching unit to the wall aren't set for standard studs so we had to build our own contraption to make it attach properly - too much work!
