My air conditioning stopped working on a Sunday, and I chose to call them, as the previous home owner had their sticker in the A/C unit. I asked them to send someone over on a weekday (to avoid the high cost of overtime on the weekend).
They showed up on time on Monday, and all that was done was unscrewing and screwing back the power fuse for the A/C unit.
As I was not home when that happened, and my wife paid for the job on the credit card, I decided to call them and inquire why the job was so expensive, and if that is their common charges for such simple and quick job.
I received a call back from this lady, who basically told me that the charges were it. After I told her that I found the charges a bit too high ($99 for the service call and $102 just to unscrew and screw back the fuse), she still just repeated herself to say that these are the charges, period.
I still told her that I paid for the bill regardless, but their pricing structure would be a determining factor for me to decide whether or not I would use them again in the future, and she still did not have any intelligent explanation as to why this little job should cost so much.
It is my right as a consumer to decide whether a job is too expensive, and I find that this was an absurdly high price for a very simple job. It is also my right to share my experience with others, if I am not happy with a vendor, so that is why I am writing here.
If you are happy with their service and their costs, go ahead and use them, but I was surely not impressed and I would not recommend them.
