We are very pleased with the work Penfold's did supplying and installing our new roof. The crew was excellent, very professional. They were done quickly and left no mess at all! Would highly recommend them.

Overall the experience was good. Adam was very good at explaining the products and helping with our choices.

“My friends said to make sure I get 3 or more estimates before choosing a roofer. I had heard so many wonderful things about Penfolds and had witnessed their work first hand, that I didn’t want other estimates. Penfolds pricing is very competitive and their craftsmanship is exceptional. I hired them to install 5 skylights, a new roof, new vents, new gutters and downpipes. They did this in the middle of the winter. They also came on 2 occasions, prior to beginning the work, to fix small leaks. They quickly arrived and fixed those leaks free of charge. All of the staff and workers from the salesperson to the leak-fixers, to the installers were proficient in their work and very professional. Right from the first phone call to arrange for a quote, we were met with professionalism and courtesy. Our Corridor Manager, Adam, was exceptional with explaining the job and gave us great confidence that the job would be done to our expectations.
We then had a visit from, Ron, our Head Field Supervior, who checked in our attic for any undiagnosed problems. He gave us some tips on better attic ventilation. He also checked in daily in daily, while the crew did their job.
The crew, were fantastic while working away with rain and snow.
Office followup with invoices and paperwork went very smoothly.

Wanted Solar, needed a new roof. Quandary is no roofing company would insure a roof with solar so you have to do them together with the same company. I therefore explored Penfolds which does both. I met with Michael and he was very good in down-to-earth explanations on what to expect, how things work. He was a great sales guy. Super personable, informed and just plain nice! I was impressed with his solar report that via satellite can determine the maximum sun output on my roof in various areas over the last 20 years. I live in the woods so I have lots of shading; but even so, the output indicated was a solid advantage. I am happy with my product. Penfolds team were super super hard working and really cleaned up well after the job. I had this done in the heart of winter (?!?!) and that was scary for me but, it went seamlessly and fast and well here I am. Only a few misery moments: the endless balls of "crumble" from the asphalt shingles which got on my glass atrium and into my gutters creating a cement goop that now has solidified in all my gutters below the very very expensive foam inlay I just put in last year. So I can't budge the foam out to clean it (cemented) inside and who knows what its doing to the flow of water. That sucked. 2nd : my drywall where my new panel was installed had two massive cutouts that were left for me to tape, mud, sand and paint. This is not something I can do so having to hire someone to fix damage does not sit well with me. Last, I am wifi sensitive and insisted that nothing interfacing with solar be wireless. I was assured that and indeed my interface (info box) between my solar and meter was "wired" in but the box cannot disable wifi which now is an unsightly box wrapped in aluminum to hinder emitting frequencies. So there you have it. The pros and cons but the bottom line is the installation and professionalism and end result of what they promised to do was done exceedingly well. I recommend these guys and this company.
Meanwhile, my roof looks awesome, did I say they cleaned up impeccably; the Master Electricians are indeed Masters and also extremely hard workers. The whole work team were truly "machines" in getting the job done. So happy .

We are Penfolds customers because of their technical advisor, Sean. His excellent presentation to us of roofing systems, pricing and warranties gave us the confidence to upgrade tar & gravel to metal.
He listened carefully to all our concerns and provided useful info on every point. When we had leaks during 3 separate rainstorms, Sean ensured same day emergency service each time. The fellows who came out on those miserable, dark days were top notch and to be commended
for their ingenuity.
Once our job was finally underway, Ronnie & his crew worked under
extreme weather conditions to complete the job by Christmas. In bitter cold they worked concientiously with skill and speed and solved all problems encountered. The crew leader was exceptional in precision work and attention to the smallest detail. They crafted a beautiful metal roof for us that we appreciate every day.

I listened to the radio ads and thought I would ask Penfolds Roofing Inc for a solar quote for my property. I contacted the company, provided them with the information they requested (BC Hydro bills and address) and waited. Eventually they sent me a very generic report showing me how advantageous adding solar panels would be to my home. The report was so generic and only provided a partial cost estimate that it was effectively useless. They also conveniently provided financing options for the project. I had many questions so sent an e-mail to their "technical advisor" (Dylan). He promised to get back to me with the answers in a few days, but never did. I followed up a second time and this time he offered to visit me with a guy named Ken. I assume this is another person from the company who could answer my questions. I asked that he respond in writing to my questions from my original e-mail first, like he promised to do, before we meet. I never heard from him again. My feeling was the company is quick to market its products and provide quotes BUT is very sales focused. The fact that the technical advisor promised to deliver a response to my e-mail and didn't, despite me following up with him, shows that the company's motives are questionable and that they are really not interested in customers doing any level of due diligence. It is really a pretty sad business practice. I would caution anyone contemplating doing business with them to do their due diligence and be very careful before engaging them for high priced projects.

We recently moved into a new house with a very old Cedar shingle roof that needed replacing.

We met with Michael, picked out the materials & colours from the choices available and all that was left was to try and find some rain free days which wasn't easy during the winter months.

Because of the unpredictability of the weather we did find that we were not able to have our roof installed in the time slot allocated, it actually slipped by a few weeks to after the Holiday period, and that we were given a 1 day notice that the team were coming which didn't give my wife much time adjust her working schedule for the week as she works from home.
Once on site the team were fantastic, worked really hard and were able to rip up the old and lay the new roof in 3 days which was really impressive. They also left the exterior pretty much as clean as they found it too.

I would happily recommend Penfolds to any of our friends or neighbours.

Penfolds offered an extended warranty and I needed to use it this year. Their specialist, James, came through on a Sunday and has done a great job. It was great to know they can be counted on for warranty work.

I went with Penfold after several years of researching for the right roofer, right price, and best quality. I was not disappointed, and you won't either.
