Brent is a perfectionist. He did a fantastic job on our roof, removing the old cedar shakes and replacing them with lovely new ones. He kept to schedule and fixed some extra problems that cropped up. I would recommend him to anyone who cares about craftsmanship.

My husband had taken on the task of cedar shingling the front of our house. He got as far as completing the front mudroom but hit a road-block when it came time to do the bay portion of the house (putting up scafolding, 3 stories high, with the type of garden we have was virtually impossible for him to do). Enter Brent... I contacted Brent due to the great reviews I read about him here on Homestars. He came out to assess the situation and took our project on. As he got to work in removing the old woodwork it was apparent that everything underneath was rotten. So being the perfectionist that Brent is, he literally rebuilt the bay (which goes from the main floor all the way up to the 3rd floor) and layed the cedar beautifully. Our neighbours are in ah of the craftmanship, so much so that two of them (possibly more) have done or are in the midst of having the same done to their place. Our next door neighbour is actually in the midst of having theirs done by Brent as I type this review! Brent's top notch and we'd recommend him to anyone looking for a solid roofer/artist.

I had Brent re shingle our back shed and true to form did a LOT more than I expected. I've known Brent for a long time and there's no other roofer in the GTA that I would recommend for Cedar or Slate. He fixed upt the Eavestroughs too!

This is the third time I have had my roof done.I finally found someone willing to do it right! Brent will refuse to do a quicky repair job, he will only do the job correctly. Brent cam out for a rental unit we had problems with in terms of a continually wet ceiling while we were trying to get the whole house repainted and reoccupied. He correctly diagnoised the problem to be a leak from the chimmeny flashing and came backthe next day to reflash it. He went above and beyond in terms of helping us meet our deadlines.

I feel very lucky to find Mr. Brent Regnier to replace the entire roof on my house for me one year ago. Actually, I obtained 6 quotes for the roof replacement. On second thoughts, I chose Brent to do the job because I can feel Brent’s passion for roofing which impressed me most.

My house is worth ballpark $2 million and has a very complex roof, is in a nice district, so the
quality and appearance for re-sale are very important to me – not just functionality.
My choice of materials, after consulting with Brent, was Certaineed Grand Manor Colonial

Its excellent product BTW, very 3-dimensional, thick and a very slate-like appearance.

Brent came highly recommended by a former employee who was once also a high-end cedar
roofer. The shingle manufacturer's rep also spoke very highly of him.

Bottom line is Brent and his guys did a perfect job. It looks excellent with many technical
details which are far beyond the average job. Clean-up was perfect daily.

It has been a year now, with much heavy snow and ice on the roof and no leaks. The
aesthetics are superb. Both the workmanship and materials get my highest rating – and I am
an experienced builder. This is not my first new roof!

Brent’s colleague also did eaves troughs for me very reasonably.

I replaced a cedar roof with high-end asphalt with Brent’s agreement, even though he is a
cedar specialist and cedar would have cost less than what I chose. My reasons had mainly to
do with abundant trees surrounding my house and constant wet leaves on the roof.

Brent is an honest guy and can be totally trusted in a business arrangement. He is meticulous
and extremely proud of his skilled knowledge and workmanship. He goes way beyond
“sufficient” to “doing it right.” There are many cheaper short cuts available in roofing and
Brent does not take them. I’d give his work a rating of 11 on a scale of 10.

On thing: Brent does not show up in a business suit and shiny sedan. He is all-work and looks the part, as does his pick-up truck. If you need an MBA-grad to give you a quote, look elsewhere and pay too much for worse work. I know of what I speak!

Look past the appearances and get the job done RIGHT by the rare tradesman who is meticulous and professional, waaay beyond the norm.
