Installing a power outlet

Ralph and Tony came by to install a power outlet outside the house. This was to be controlled by a switch from inside my home. Unfortunately, they ended up drilling two halls through my brick wall as they did not properly angle the drill, hence the pictures included in this review.

Company Response

Dear Robert,
We feel regretted about your disappointment.
Let us give you and everybody else a little eye-opener about renovations.
Older homes like yours (lathe & plaster), are typically more challenging.
In any respect, wood framing is built typically every 16 inches. There is no magic involved when installing electrical wiring. When the wood structure is concealed, we need to make holes in finished walls to go from point A to point B. Furthermore, understanding how electrical circuitry works, is not something than be learnt overnight. Perhaps, a simple “youtube” video might help the average homeowner like yourself for better insight.

However, before we start working on any project, we always analyze the task and its difficulties, and then inform the customer every step of the way. One of our goals is to minimize disruption; our top priority is “Safety”. You knew exactly how we were going to handle the task.

Our trade, like very few others, is a very difficult trade.
We are trained from day one to follow the number one rule: “Safety”! We are a compulsory trade, regulated and constantly monitored by the Ministry and other provincial bodies.
We are required to undergo lengthy and intensive training to embark in this great and rewarding electrical profession. We also need to update ourselves every three years (our current code book of rules is thicker than 3 volumes of Encyclopaedia Britannica); not to mention licensing and other legal requirements.

Nevertheless, we folks electricians always take immense pride in our work and strive to make the installation safe and code compliant. Shortcuts are not part of “who we are”.
We are professionals and our safety and that of others, is our duty!

outdoor recepticle, lighting,

Ralph came when he said he would both for the estimate and the work. Everything was done exactly as discussed. He gave good and straightforward advice.
He added electrical wiring to our attic for a fan, he added an outdoor receptical, and and security lighting. Everything has worked perfectly since.
He is a man of his word, ad does quality work.

We would highly recommend Ralph and Tony as electricians. We asked them to take out 2 ceiling lights and install 3 and the work was done very efficiently and no mess was left! We were so impressed with their work! Will definitely hire them again when the need arises.

Electrical Panel Replacement

We had Ralph do an initial visit to our home, to change our old Hydro panel.
He was very clear as to the scope of work and there was no pressure selling. Ralph and his assistant were on time and completed the work as agreed, The original mess of wires, was now very neat they even replaced some old wiring that had been put in by the previous owner with out additional charge. We are very pleased with the work done, and will certainly recommend RLC Electric.
