A project that we thought would be under $300 ended up costing $700 with no explanation or warning. They sent two people who took 5 hours to install a range hood fan. They didn't bring the appropriate venting to start with, despite knowing what the job was, and the time spent driving around to get the right parts was on top of the 5-hour install. The work itself was very thorough and we've had no problems. I would strongly recommend getting some form of written quote to hold them to for any work you'd consider with them.

I paid Splash Works 32K to do a complete small pool install. They hired this company to do a gas line that was included in my payment to Splash Works. 4 Months after the job was completed and out of the blue they billed me! After getting my information from Splash Works which is also a violation of my privacy. I contacted Brian Worrad of Menear and Associates and he read the Pool contract and advised me I was not liable. He called the Owner of Hyde Park Plumbing and he agreed to let my lawyer write a letter to Splash Works to pay the bill and as a result of this he would not pursue me. He verbally told this to my lawyer. He then proceeded to report me to a credit agency and destroyed my credit for a bill I do not owe! I never hired them! I did not even speak to them! Never do Business with these people as they can not be trusted!!! Horrible business practices and unethical in this situation!!!

1) Service was slow - I made the phone call in the morning of August 29. It was a Thursday but nobody could work on next day because it was the labour day weekend. We had to wait until Tuesday, Sept 3.

2) One person's work have two people to do - a small job assigned 2 people to work. Does it really need 2 people to work for a dryer to connect to the natural gas pipe which had already connected in the basement?

3) Poor business practice - there was not a price quote before and after the job was done. The invoice came in mail that gave us a big shock - $656!

4) Extremely expensive - A few year ago I had one gas fitter came to the door who connected a gas dryer and a gas stove. The charge was $250.

5) - Take my lesson - Please do not have any business associated with a company like Hyde Park Plumbing & Heating Ltd. Check a quote/price before making any agreement.

These guys are quick to the rescue. I called about a blocked up condensation pipe from my A/C which was leaking in many improper places.

After a quick inspection and some ingenuity the two guys who came were able to resolve the problem in a short period of time.

They even did an inspection of the other elements to ensure they were in good working order. This gave me peace of mind and trust that they cared about their work.

The problem was very small and they charges a very reasonable rate. I would do business with this crew again.

I had this company renovate my master bathroom and they did an amazing job on it. Not only did they nenovate it, they took the time to make everything look so much better. They changed the lighting, they arranged the tiles in a very interesting design. I would deal with these guys again for sure. Highly recommended!
