Latitude Countertops

Latitude did a fantastic job from templating to installing. The first thing everyone says when they walk into our kitchen is I love your Countertops! They couldnt've said it any better. Great job, professional team, fast service and quality product.

We recently renovated two bathrooms, an en suite bathroom and the main bathroom.

Our designer recommended Latitude. Everyone was friendly and professional. We have a whirlpool tub and wanted a granite tub surround with a 2' backsplash. The templater made some excellent suggestions that everyone else had overlooked.

Installation went smoothly, on time(8 days) and the installers were polite and courteous.

I've recommended Latitude to my friends and they have all had the same experience.

We were buying our new home and we were looking at upgrading our kitchen counter tops. When we went to the builder's centre, the prices for the counter tops seemed very high for granite and quartz counter tops.

A friend told me that when they bought their house, they had cheap laminate counter tops installed and then called Latitude and had granite counter tops installed at 30% less than the builder was going to charge.

So we went to Latitude. The sales people were great. They helped us choose our counter top that was appropriate for our life style.

Everything they promised us happened. There were no surprises. The installers were pleasant, tidy and very helpful. The customer service people called us the day before the installation and confirmed the appointment.

We are very pleased with Latitude. The counter tops look great!

Pros: the finished product looks good. The old countertop was removed and the new one installed fairly smoothly.

Cons: many! The installers seemed inexperienced (were very young) and made a number of mistakes.
-parts were mismeasured and don't fit perfectly
-the edges are not quite what we requested
-we were not asked what kind of corners we'd like; this decision was made for us
-a gap between the countertop and cabinets was left all around, which had to be fixed by another company (perhaps foreseeable, but Latitude should have discussed this with us before proceeding)
-the dishwasher was left unattached to the countertop and falling forward; this was also fixed by another company
-the quote was always changing for reasons that were probably sensible but weren't really explained to us
-it was only when the installers were here that they told us the gas range had to be disconnected! we had to frantically call around for a gas-fitter, ultimately delaying the installation
-a few globs of silicone are visible and dripped onto the cabinets
-a 3-4mm gap is left between the backsplash and the wall, with the potential for water or debris to fall behind it

I built my kitchen myself but hired Latitude to install about 60 square feet of Hanstone engineered quartz countertop. Tara, our sales rep, was professional and prompt. The sink cut-out was incorrect but Tara arranged to have it fixed the same day so our installation was finished when promised -- 10 business days after signing the agreement. The company was very slow to request payment (I called them the day before installation to remind them I hadn't paid anything) but otherwise they were great to deal with.

I ordered my new silestone counters from Latitude. They have a great selection of colours. They came to measure as promised and delivery date was exactly when promised. The fit was perfect and the installers did a great job.
