home inspection

I am pretty sure the inspector didn't even come into the house 1. the electrical panel was wired wrong and over loaded in a few circuits, causing the breaker to trip, 2. shower in a cold seller, with plumbing and electrical running through the same cored hole in the foundation wall" MAJOR STRUCTUAL ISSUE!!" 3 Junction points everywhere .4 Found an exhaust fan blowing moisture into a wall causing mould. 5 Found roofing unsafe ' I almost fell through" Not to mention the furnace venting was illegal. It will take me great cost and time to repair the defects the inspector neglected to mention. I hope this company gets there act together and stops doing this to families.

HOME INSPECTION

This home inspector(Andrew) thought he was a superstar, however he was not. Upon filling our bathtub for my daughters first bath the water leaked between two floors causing over $2000 in water damage. The inspector never filled the tub during the inspection and did not notice that the faucet was improperly installed and the drain was not the correct drain for the tub. We have attempted to contact the inspector and he has not returned email or calls. I would never use this inspector or company again.

Home Inspection

Pillar to Post(P2P) is one of the worst home inspection companies ever. I got sccammed by the agent (who wanted to desparately close the house, since I hadnt made a decision for 3 months and she hadnt closed one in a while). Bad agent, but that's another story. I had moved from an apartment and had never stayed in a house ever. This was my first naive experience.
P2P sent an elderly agent (JW) who spent 90% of his time on the laptop making comments, taking notes. Everything in the house broke down in the first month of moving. There was leak in the basement which was hidden, a simple thing cleverly concealed by the owner with a huge carpet. All equipment broke down, AC was never functioning even though the fan was, (spent $3000 getting a new Carrier system). 2 out of 3 Bathrooms werent flushing well had to spend $200 to get that fixed. Leak in the roof was overlooked, it rained through the roof and side doors the first 20 days after closing was done. Central Humidifier system was broken. Fridge was leaking and old (we had to buy a new one). One of the GFCI outlets wasnt working, Window was leaking....list goes on and on. I agree a thing here and there is not the home inspector's job but to have everything fail on you in the first few days/weeks/3 months of moving is too much. A home inspectors job is to do it sincerely and he failed.
I had another private inspector who was cheaper and saved me from 2 bad houses...but I decided to fall for my agent's trap who insisted that I change to P2P. She claimed that P2P is better because they take pictures. What a sham!! Now I know why. Always trust your gut. I curse the previous home owner who fooled us, I would never do anything unethical to the person I sell to. Sad, upset and still paying...

Home Inspection

P.T.P. gave a very good review. Home has cost us $5,000 in repairs in 5 months. More damage was found and will cost $5K - $10K. Horrible Inspection. Several items were misdiagnosed. Severe termite damage was missed. Faulty HVAC duct work, electrical wires from Fuse Box. Mold and leaking plumbing in the basement easily seen but missed by him. We've put $5000.00 in this house so far and it looks like an entire renovation of the basement is in order now due to Termites that he completely missed but we found. Joke. This guy was horrible and we are now stuck.

Home Inspection

We used Pilar to Post for to inspect a great home we wanted and couldn't sleep thinking about it, all that was pending was the home inspection.
Sadly a Very bad report was made and we walked from the deal to later find out that the report was inaccurate there was no knob and tube.... the electricity service was fine....The Company had no comment on why there so called qualified home inspector doesn't know the difference between knob and tube or NOT....We Lost The House, as another offer was waiting !!!!!

Missed many obvious things that are costing. I understand all things are not apparent but I have since had another home inspector in and he was amazed what was missed.

Two yrs ago bought a house. Pillar to Post came and everything passed their inspection. Just sold house, nothing changed or was altered, cost us $10000 to change wiring that was a fire hazard, and much much more. Lucky we didn't die while living there because of a crap job.

I got an home inspection done in Brampton and the brampton inspectors are usually very....not smart to be polite. Pillar to Post Inc. has very knowledgable inspectors, they are certified and will satisfy all your questions that you ask with a very good answer.

year- end home inspected

Inspection by Tibor Pillar to Post
He arrived on time, but as I noticed he didn’t had ladder to check the roof. Instead he was looking by binocular while walking around the house. So, He couldn’t find the dented soffit at northeast corner over the garage. Also, I showed him a shingle that dropped few months ago from the roof. He told this is not from your roof and it is 5 to 7 year old shingle. All the houses around are built a year ago and the color of piece was completely match with roof.
He started inside from basement. But he was busy with his laptop for almost half an hours to finish a short report for outside of the house. On the basement the walls are covered by isolation. He didn’t do anything to see the concrete wall of the basement.
He checked the attic in just one minute through hatch door and took some pictures. That’s it!! He didn’t measure the isolation.
The results of inspection are not specific and in detail. The general information he sent me as inspection result are very general and in access through internet. The way he inspected you can look around and do it I promise hundred percent better than him. I checked with my neighbour’s his inspector was brilliant. Went to roof for checking shingles and find problems. Find crakes in the window and one of the doors. Isolation for attic wasn’t good enough. These houses were built by one company. I was totally dissatisfied with the home inspection. (((Visual inspection ))) I am telling you don’t waste your money by Pillar to Post.
