Insulation and roofing

I needed to get my roof insulated, it still had wood chip and foam in the attic. I contacted Nomad roofing (by the way they did a great job of re-doing my roof!)
They referred Greg and his team to do the insulation.
Everything was co-ordinated between Greg Insulation Police and Nomad Roofing with the least disruption to the home
Greg and his team were kind prompt and professional
Nomad roofing delivered the same service
I highly recommend Insulation Police and Nomad r
Roofing for all your roofing needs

Insulation

I was extremely happy with the work Insulation Police completed for me. The workmen arrived on time; they put down tarps to protect the floors; they cleaned up after the job. There was a box built around the attic access door to keep the insulation from falling out and the door itself was weatherstripped. In short, the job met all specifications and was done well. I would recommend and refer insulation police without question. Greg, thank you.

The workmen arrived on time; they put down tarps to protect the floors; they cleaned up after the job. The attic was completely insulated, the skylight frames were netted and filled, the bathroom vents and the furnace pipes were insulated. There was a box built around the attic access door to keep the insulation from falling out and the door itself was weatherstripped. In short, the job met all specifications and was done well. Thanks Greg.

Reinsulated my 85 year old house

Several years ago I hired the Insulation Police to reinsulated my old house. My main issue was the north west corner where the kitchen is , is so cold and drafty. The men did come by and insulted the attic some of the walls and the kitchen. Winter came and the kitchen was just as drafty as before. The kitchen taps froze on many occasions. Insulation Police came back 5 times & there in no change cold kitchen frozen taps and ice damns around the house. There was areas in the kitchen around the wall oven and microwave that they refused to reinsulate, not sre why. They made up some bogus excuse why they wouldn't do it. There's also a wall in the front porch they refused to insulate as well , which makes the whole house cold. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone! I paid $10,000 and still have a cold drafty house with ice damns hanging around the house. As well as frozen kitchen taps all winter. Greg is all talk & no action!

Reading this actually makes me laugh it is funny.
Just like i explained to you at your house.
Your oven and microwave was installed into a cantilever that was never finished on the inside it had no drywall or lath and plaster installed because there was not enough room to fit in the Stove Microwave combo.
When i install the Wallbar insulation it would fill up your stove causing fire issues. You have to install Drywall to hold the insulation in place. You needed to buy a smaller stove so this could be done or build a bigger cantilever so you could install drywall. You did not want to do either of my suggestions you just want to say that i am a bad insulator.
This was explained to you??
The second area was a wall with a electrical box and all wires in a 2x4 wall cavity. I explained to you that it is impossible to insulate this area and the other area unless you did some construction to make a cavity for us to install the insulation. That is normal construction practice.
You also elected to leave 1/2 of the fiberglass in your vaulted roof i only insulated you attic space and not the vaults where your ice damning problems are occurring.
I do understand that some people do not understand.
Thank you for your 0 rating.

Weather Shield Insulation

In the winter of 2008 we had a fire in our home that made it necessary taking down all ceilings, losing all the insulation. When the repairs were complete I was told that they blew in (paper) insulation with R40 value. The next 5 years were a nightmare of ice damming on the roof causing damage to walls and ceilings. Time after time the restoration company came and "fixed" it...it made no difference. When I finally got hold of Insulation Police, Greg came and took one look and said, "Fiberglass"!! He wasn't as shocked as I was,he claims they see it all the time. The fiberglass does not work. They came exactly as Greg promised, took all the fiberglass out and replaced it with Weathershield WallBAR High Performance insulation. Last winter we watched, with the excessive snowfall and warm spell after Christmas we were concerned. I asked Greg if they could swing by our place and take a look. And they did (no charge) and all was well!
We are so grateful to see an end to this problem, what a relief...why did it take 5 years? Because we did not know about the problems that previous installer caused by blowing in the wrong, poor performance fiberglass. We were told it was cellulose.
Insulation Police come highly recommended by us, they always kept their word, made sure to show and explain in detail, cleaned up nicely, acted professionally, and above all, it WORKS!

Insulating Roof of 65 Year Old Semi-Bungalow

I have an old semi-bungalow house with very limited access to the roof and walls and Greg was the only person I had give an estimate that was confident about how to do the job. He was able to squeeze our job in immediately (it was important it got done ASAP); he always returned my calls or emails (where as some contractors never got back to me) they did a very thorough job quickly; he stayed on top of the project that his team were doing; his workers were conscientious; and Greg followed up immediately when there was a concern after the completion of the job. The cost seemed like a lot, however, when I saw the work that was involved, I realized it was worth it.

Insulation

I had compact cellulose insulation blown into the walls of my 65 year old house, which required the removal of a part of my cedar siding and a portion of a living room wall. Insulation Police did exactly as they promised & VERY quickly: removed the siding without busting it all up, removed the old (& very dirty) batt insulation, blew the insulation in above & below stud braces, did an excellent job reinstalling the siding, did an awesome job repairing my living room wall, & kept the job site clean throughout. I am very impressed. Greg was helpful & informative & his guys were great. I can't believe how quite my house is and I'm able to keep the house cooler during these sweltering hot summer days. I'll try to post an update next winter when it is cold.
