Garage Tailors

Unfortunately my experience with Garage Tailors was not a good one. Initially the relationship started off on a good foot. I wanted to renovate the garage to include finished cabinets, car hoist, and flooring. Working with Ian I retained his incumbent car lift contractor, figured working with his recommendations would help keep things as streamlined as possible. This was not the case. My suggestion to anyone working with this company - make sure you receive EVERYTHING in writing. Transparency with proper quoting and sign backs helps keep all parties on the same page. Also just a note - this company has changed names throughout my experience with it. Take that for what you want but typically a successful company with a good track record does not change its Brand.

The service, quality and scheduling of our garage transformation completed by Garage Tailors was excellent. Ian provided insight and assisted us with decision making. The end result was exactly what we wanted. The garage is now organized ,the floor looks amazing , we have more than adequate storage and vehicle parking. I highly recommend Garage Tailors.

Under the previous company name, I asked and paid for (with warranty) a "poly aspartic" floor finish (2 car garage). First problem I noticed next day was the finish coat - inconsistent (patchy - gloss and dull areas). Rick sent his floor guy at the time to refinish and make more consistent, and it was slightly better. Stored my collector car over the winter and noticed in the Spring, brown-orange stains where the tires sat, which I could not remove. Rick sent his partner again to repair/refinish the spots and the flakes used were not the same color and notably different. The stains re-appeared even with a plastic barrier to protect. This same car was parked at my previous house where polyurea was applied by another company and I had no such issues. Later, I noticed tracking stains and tire spots on the daily driver side. Asked a competitor installer recently to assess and he said in his 10 years of experience he has not seen such a problem with poly products. Sent a message to Rick's website indicating the problem and warranty and no response. Unless he's since using a different product and installer I do not recommend this company for garage floor application. A $3,000 mistake choosing this company!

Ian was great to work with. He was responsive and was very informative. He was able to get his crew within a week or so. Very happy with the end product and would highly recommend.

Rick was professional from email to phone and when we met in person. He listened to my wish list, took photos while making suggestions then a few days later he sent a draft of the plan along with a quote.
Once we decided to go ahead, he gave us "homework" which was to put everything in the centre of the garage. They worked around it and he also helped to purge items.
They finished the job within the timeline and we have been parking both cars in the garage ever since September 2016.
Would definitely recommend them!

I would highly recommend Rick and Ian at Nuvo Garage. They renovated our garage in early August 2019.

When we first met Rick, he listened to our needs and our objectives; providing us with a floor plan, breakdown of costs and suggestions on how to maximize the space in our garage, making it more functional and more organized.

Rick and Ian were on time, on budget and very professional! They are great to work with and I would not hesitate one minute to hire them. We LOVE our new garage and love the fact that we can now fit our car in it.
