Toronto Maid Service - No Longer in Business

I hired the Toronto Madi service company to clean my apartment in Toronto and was pushed to pay for a larger contract. I simply needed a one day cleaning for a party and EXPLICITLY did not want to get charged for extended work. Well, guess what? They charged me extra on my VISA and now I'm stuck trying to hunt down a human being to respond to my calls (emails). A STRONG WORD OF CAUTION to anybody considering this group. My personal frustration and long email searches on this Company have led to the following insights:

1. Canada Maid Service has a poor rating with the better business bureau(red flag).
2. Apparently, the owner "Prakash" (as I've discovered) has started multiple similar companies Green Maids with Neha -not sure if she is a partner of his or not--but I'd stay clear of her too--as I tried calling all the affiliates to get to "Kash" (a fitting name). She is also not responding to my attempts to communicate), KW Maids, London Maids, and services in B.C and New York. All seem to basically lead back to him.
3. The owner (CEO, Kash) is IMPOSSIBLE to find. He does not respond to calls or emails and his business profile suggest he is now trying to make money on an AskyourDoctor.com . Be very weary of asking him anything!!!
4. Sadly, I wish I would have come to homestars earlier --as I would have realized I'm not the only one who feels this strongly against the Canada Maid (Lack of) Service!

I recently moved out of my Toronto condo. Toronto Maid Service had been doing biweekly cleanings for me regularly for the last two years. The cleaning was always superb. When the maids were running behind schedule, I always received a call from management to inform me. The managers were very personable and accommodating. For my move out special they gave me a special discount for being a loyal customer and again the cleaning was immaculate. Thanks again Toronto Maid Service!

We`ve had Toronto Maid Service for the better part of 18 months and we just cancelled. They`ve managed to break several rather items in the house (I mean really how do you break a toilet seat?)and manage to run through 2 rolls of papertowel per visit. That even though we've requested that they use the reusable materials that we provide. The last going off the cleaner (we've had a couple - one good, this one a nightmare)told us to buy a mop and a vacuum. There's a brand new Electrolux, and a complete set of Swiffer type mops. She also shows up at the crack of dawn, despite numerous requests to come at the time we agreed to with the service.

The best of all, tho, is the fact that they've charged my VISA the full amound for the 12 weeks, 4 times in this month. And haven't returned a phonecall or email.

Needless to say, we're trying to terminate service with themm, but it might mean cancelling my VISA and getting a new one.

I DO NOT recommend Toronto Maids service.

I was a litte worried with the company as on the day of the cleaning someone called me to reschedule due to the maid having car troubles and not able to get there in time. I hestinatly reschudled, but then to my surprise they got me a spot the next day first thing and credited my account by an hour for my troubles!

The cleaning was great as well, i really liked how they asked to leave out list of priorties so everything i wanted to get done was done very well!

The gentlemen in the office are very pleasant and the maid did a great job - overall i had a great experience!

I have been using Toronto Maid Service for over 3 years to my home. I just wanted to say that the service has been absolutely nothing less than incredible. Both my friend and I started using them at the same time and its been a great experience. Its really hard in Toronto, finding people you can trust to your home!

I have the maid service come in once a week. I leave a list of tasks for the cleaner that i want done and I can count on it being completed. Its nice to have specific tasks done with confidence.

My wife and I were very happy with the service provided by Toronto Maid Service. Its unfortunate that the only people that ever comment on these sites are with bad reviews so I decided to make it a point to say how wonderful of a job Lisa did at my house.

I had recently booked Toronto Maid Service to come into my home. After purchasing a cleaning over the phone (and paying for it) I decided to look on the web to see if they had any reviews. To my surprise, they had some unfortunate reviews and I was very skeptical about the whole situation. I decided to let them come in and do their job anyway. We had a lovely lady come into our home! She arrived maybe 15 minutes late (so pretty good!) and did an exceptional job with the place. We were having company over the next night, so it was imperitive that everything got completed. I wanted to write this review because I believe most people complain on websites such as these and perhaps they just had a bad experience. But I was very happy with their work and will definately use them again and recommend them to friends!
