Like most people when looking for a contractor, the first thing I do is check out the review sites; like HomeStars and Trusted Pros. So, I understand how important a good review can be for acquiring new business. The team from CCR Renovations have exceeded all expectations!

I knew the project was not a simple undertaking as it involved removing a support wall, and after watching too many renovation shows, we were terrified of being one of these horror stories!
We picked out five contractors to provide us with estimates. The quality of the estimates varied from truly professional to embarrassing and sketchy. We had one contractor who took an astonishing fifteen minutes to provide an estimate. He walked into the basement took one measurement and famously stated “yeah we can knock that wall out no problem. I know some guys.” Clearly, he did not leave us feeling very confident in his abilities, or who these “guys were.”
However; Matt, from CCR, was by far the most informed and the most professional. He took the time to go over all aspects of the proposed project. Over the hour and a half he spent with us, Matt was very reassuring but also very realistic about issues that may arise and how we could deal with them.

When we decided to go with CCR we felt pretty confident with our decision. Still, knowing it was a big renovation, we were still nervous! However, the team from CCR made us feel much more secure. The contract was 6 pages, outlining every aspect of the renovation. It also listed a payment schedule upon completion of various aspects of the renovation. It listed all the sub trades and scope of work being completed. It listed warranty information and resolutions for any issues that may arise. It covered things that we had never thought about. To say the least, it was very thorough. I had a couple of coworkers and family review the contract, and we all agreed that someone who puts this much attention into the contract is a true professional who you want working for you.

During the whole renovation the guys from CCR; Matt, Stuart and Connor, and the rest of the team were excellent and professional! As we have an almost 2 year old toddler, and another baby on the way throughout the renovation, we were concerned how much chaos there would be in the house. But Matt and the team worked with us and changed their work hours to accommodate our schedule. Every day they were at the house around 8am after we dropped our daughter off at day care, and they would begin to tidy up around 4pm, leaving the house between 430pm and 5pm or earlier. This was a huge stress relief for us as breakfast and dinner were relatively normal. The entire working area was tarped off and sealed to minimize the mess, the guys truly treated our home with respect and care. They took the time to keep things clean, and minimize the construction mess in the house.

As with any renovation there were several changes and extras that were added by us throughout the project. Despite these changes, the team from CCR were great at coming up with ideas and working out solutions with us. Overall, the team from CCR was excellent and I would highly recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for a professional, responsible, and knowledgeable renovation company.
From the initial meeting, to the planning, to the actual work and finally the completed end results, you will be impressed and satisfied.

Matt, Connor & Stewart are extremely nice guys, and their crew is as well. I cannot stress enough how friendly they are. If you're looking for quality work at a reasonable price, CCR fits the bill perfectly. Our project had a few hiccups, but in the end CCR did whatever was needed in order to make things right.

We were delighted with the work that Matt, Stuart and the crew did on our main floor renovation. We hired CCR to finish our basement after seeing their sign on a lawn in our neighbourhood, and from our very first communication with Matt we were confident that we had found a company that understood our needs. Matt collaborated with us to figure out how to maximize our budget, and was very flexible and easy to work with. Stuart, as well as all of the guys who were in and out during the renovations were friendly, accommodating, and professional. They respected our home and communicated with us every step of the way, and we were very happy with the work as the job progressed. At the end of the project, we were absolutely thrilled with the finished product, and our kids were playing in the new basement within hours of it being complete. We were so happy with our new space that a couple days after the basement was finished, we actually asked Matt if they could do our main family bathroom. The guys are starting our second project together in a few days, and we couldn't be more excited for our fresh, new bathroom, and to be working with CCR again.

CCR completed a major remodel of our main floor and we couldn’t be happier! Their crew did a fantastic job the whole way through the project; they were hard-working, were very responsive to my requests for information or updates and provided excellent input throughout to ensure an exceptional finish. They are honest, considerate and easy to work with.

We hired CCR Renovations for a complete main floor renovation. The major component of it was removal of a load bearing wall to open up the main floor into an open concept. This renovation also included:

-maintaining the structure with addition of beams after removal of load bearing wall
-removal of our old kitchen
-install of a new updated kitchen
-widening of entryways
-raising headers on interior entryways
-removal and install of two entry doors and two sliding doors
-installation of new flooring throughout
-powder room updating with new plumbing and tiling
-potlight install
-removal of carpeting on stairs and install of new stairtreads, risers and handrail
-installation of baseboard/crown moulding

Even with the extensive amount of work that we requested, we found that we had a positive experience with this company and its crew members. Each of their employees were part of a team that were present for specific parts of the job (demo/framing; carpentry; finishes) and this way of work demonstrated their strengths and let us know that they were experienced in that part of the job.

They subcontracted electrical and plumbing aspects of the job and we appreciated this because they were upfront that they wanted the experts to complete those portions of the work. We preferred this because the tradespeople who completed the work were experts in their respective trades.

There of course were instances when perhaps things were missed but the close contact we had with the same team members and project manager allowed for us to point out any issues quickly and they were dealt with appropriately. There was no hesitation to fix the smallest of issues, even if it was a matter of centimetres. Our satisfaction was always their priority and it was evident.

In the end, as a homeowner, what I valued most was the attention to detail the company put into their final product. We were suggested improvements in visual detail that we hadn't even thought of. Their experience and knowledge was really immeasurable, especially as we had no prior experience with such a major renovation. We appreciated their clarity, expertise, accessibility and most of all, we appreciated that they cared about their work and wanted the best for us. They showed up every day to work and were respectful of our space and family. We would not hesitate to hire them again for a small or big job and would give them a reference if ever they needed it.

Highly recommend CCR Renovations as contractors as they completed renovated and remodeled my old dark galley kitchen into my dream kitchen.
The team at CCR Renovations work ethics, skills, knowledge and experience in all areas of the project created a seamless and smooth experience.

My kitchen underwent complete makeover. Work included removing a partial supporting wall the additions of a new large island with columns on either side, removing drywall, new ceiling, insulation on exterior wall, floors, kitchen cabinets, double sink and the addition of a partial wall to house the refrigerator.

The kitchen is now a showpiece it has opened up the entire first floor creating an open area filled with light. l love spending time in this space and creating meal to share with friends and family. The new island was designed to accommodate three stools and serves as a second location to enjoy meals.

Family and friends have commented on the renovations beauty and functionality and most importantly the quality of workmanship.

CCR Renovations completed a full gut of our main bathroom in late 2017/early 2018. This included some discovery work that, by nature, was unplanned at the start of the job. The entire team from CCR (Matt, Stuart and Connor) were professionals; courteous to our large family and understanding of additional requests we made along the way.
