True North Eavestroughing

We had our entire eavestrough and facia replaced and we could not be happier with the job. John and his crew were punctual, professional, clean and efficient. The job was beautiful - the new system looks great. Even more impressive, was the fact that John took the time to inform me about our neighbor's overhanging eave-drainpipe which was literally draining into our eaves. He took photos and explained how this could seriously compromise water drainage in the future if not rectified. As soon as my neighbor saw the pictures, he had his roofers return to make repairs. Without John's input, we'd never had known about this until it was too late. Thanks for a great job and great advice - it was worth every penny!

I have never been so impressed with a company! John called me back the same day and the work was done within the week. About 5 years ago I replaced my roof. Two years after that I replaced the eavestrough, soffets, etc. I wasn't completely sure that I should be using the same person who did the roof for this next job but they said they could do it so it was done. However, my thought was right, I should not have let them do it. The eaves began to pull away from the roof last winter. I found John's company in the North Toronto Post and called him. He came to the house the next day only to tell me what I already knew.....the other company had not put any wood underneath and they used very, very short screws. In addition, there was no downspout on the upper level of the house that would drain into the bottom one and the down spout on the lower level was draining on to my side walkway creating a very large puddle and leaking into my basement. For some reason, this other company had done a better job on my neighbours house a year after mine. In any event, John and his crew did the job within the week of our first contact. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the job. You would have never known that they were there as the clean up was impeccable. The job itself is fantastic and after last week's two unbelievable thunder, lightening and rain storms, not a single drop of water came into the house as the down spout had been moved to a proper location. I also had them install gutter guards all around so I look forward to now having to pay for the eaves to be cleaned next year! Although I had to do the same job twice, I have learned to let roofers stick to the roof and let the eaves guys do their job! Thank you John. I will not hesitate to recommend you to my friends and neighbours..... right, I already did that!

I'd like to thank and compliment the work you have done on my house. John and his crew not only completed the work professionally (including a complete clean up) on time, but also went out of their way to fix another mess along the way created by unskilled contractors from the past without any additional charge. Total cost for the work done on my property was significantly less than other competitors. Most of all, we were impressed with the professional and yet confident and kind mannerism of John Whyte. I have no hesitation recommending True North to anyone and thanks also for looking after my cousin with the same mannerism.

Started with years of water through the basement walls and all other companies put a bandage on the problem. Issue returned at a later date.
True North is very reliable, honest and completed the job as promised with no issues to date. We have referred them already to go to family members. Clean, accurate and really know how to complete the job without the extras added after quote. Went above to make sure. Very impressive with their ability and no hesitation on guaranteeing the work. Above this; the recommended extras made the house look better plus no cleaning every year.

I had never had a completely positive experience with a contractor until I met John Whyte of True North Eavestroughing.

John was very responsive to all my inquiries, before and after the job. He came to our house for an estimate at the agree-upon time, and gave us a thorough evaluation of our situation and a very reasonable quotation. His team came a week later to do the job (we got lucky because someone else had canceled), completely replacing the eavestrough (with Leafguard) of the entire house, relocating and adding a few down pipes, as well as laying down a few heating cables. The job was done well under 5 hours and at the estimated price (not a cent more). The crew took away the old gutter/leaves/tree branches and left no mess behind. A heavy downpour a couple days later helped to test out the new installation - and it passed with flying colors. When we asked John to extend one of the downpipes by a few inches, he had it done just a couple days later without incurring extra charge.

John has proven himself an honest, trustworthy person who proudly stands behind his work. His crew is efficient and meticulous. I am thoroughly impressed by True North.
