A&A Masonry

A&A Masonry did a fantastic job on our chimney, window sills and tuck-pointing. Everything was professional, from the quote to the completion of the job. The masons were efficient and did an excellent job.

I live in a 97 year old brick house in West Toronto. Having stripped the paint off the bricks on the back wall of the house, it was clear that the mortar had seen better days. I reached out to A&A. Nigel advised me that the bricks were in good shape, but the mortar on the back wall, the front porch pillar and a few other places would have to be ground out and replaced with new mortar. I agreed to proceed requesting a quick turnaround. Within two weeks, Tera came and did all the grinding in one day until quite late to make sure all the dust (and there was a lot of dust) was washed down. With some assistance from a colleague, Tera got the mortaring done in two additional days. I couldn't be happier with the result or the process. Tera did a great job. My brickwork is restored to it's original glory! Thanks Tera and all at A&A.

A&A did an excellent job replacing our front porch and walkway. We received excellent advice from Hayden during the design phase. Benny, Kris and team did an excellent job throughout the demolition and build. Their attention to detail was appreciated as was their responsiveness. We were very pleased with the results.

We were looking for someone to do some tuck pointing/brick replacement and parging on our house, and met with Nigel initially to go over our site requirements. He was wonderful to deal with and answered all of my questions completely.
William and his team, who were on site doing the work, were fantastic! Very professional and friendly; completed the work flawlessly, including matching our brick/existing mortar very well, and a full cleanup afterwards. A&A Masonry installed a stone walkway at our house in 2020. This year the city replaced sidewalks in our area and some of the stones were removed. A&A are replacing these stones and releveling the walk with the new sidewalk at no charge! We will definitely be using them for more work at our home!

I have a water leak problem above the foundation when it rains. When I opened up the drywall around the problem area in the basement, I can see the water is leaking in around the I-beam support, an area where the bricks and the foundation meets. I called A&A Masonry and they responded in a very timely manner. Nigel came to take a look and suggested to open up a couple layers of bricks just above the foundation in order to determine the problem. He also suggested to replace the brick window sill with a piece of stone in that area because water can also leak in around the brick window sill.
It's a small job and the estimate is around $3,000 plus material cost.
Tera is assigned for this job, she is friendly and very pleasant to talk to. Tera keeps me informed of the progress and after opening some bricks, she found a hole where the I-beam support sits and there is no cement around it. It is just very poor workmanship by the builder of the home. Tera informed me what she will do to fix it, She used hydraulic cement to plug up the hole and put new vapor barrier back on properly. She put the bricks back with proper weeping holes in the problem area. She also came to the basement and put some hydraulic cement around the area where the I-beam sits. There is no major rainfall after the work is done, but time will tell. In general, I found A&A Masonry is very professional and responsive. Thank you to Tera for her work.

Will and the crew ere brilliant and amazing. In all my repair and renovation work over many years, this was the best . The 3 of them all knew stone work top to bottom had very strong eye for detail cuts on the stone slabs and never hurried rather than sacrifice quality. They worked very hard and clearly liked and trusted each other. I enjoyed watching such pros in action

Shortly after I contacted A and A Masonry Nigel came to estimate the cost of the work on my front porch. I signed a contract and they started work within a very reasonable time. Will and his crew were very neat and cleaned up every night and at the finish of the job. They were pleasant and very hard working, along with doing an excellent job.
