I needed a new roof and while Academia was expensive, they were the best value. Gord Bailey went up into the attic to check the inside, as well as walking around on the roof, and did the most thorough assessment of all the people I had quote on the roof. He also convinced me that black eavestroughs would look better than white - and he was right - they look terrific! (See photo) They didn't nickel & dime me - when they noticed (after the quote, and the signing of the contract) that some of my soffits weren't vented that should have been, they replaced them with vented soffits at no additional charge. When my garage developed a problem a year later, they came back and problem solved - it wasn't easy to find how the water was getting in - and they fixed it to my satisfaction with no complaints or charges. Gord won't compromise on quality or safety - he'd rather walk away from a job than do one that doesn't meet his high standards. Also, I'm a female senior on my own, and he didn't try to take advantage! I recommended him to my son when he needed a new roof - which is the best indication of my regard for his work. During a rain storm in November we contacted Academia Roofing to come and stop a leak that was flooding the house.
Within an hour they arrived at the house and stopped the flooding.

We worked with them to determine what the problems were with the roof and what work was required to rectify the problem. At every stage of theprocess Academia was helpful,thorough in their assessment of the problems and worked quickly and efficiently to rebuild the roof.
They even finished the work of another trade at no additional charge.
I highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future.

AFter being taken advantage of by a fly-by-night roofer, Academia stepped up to the place and gave us a fantastic new roof.

We had to wait several months for our turn, but Academia made sure to tarp up all our leaks and when they finally came, the quality of workmanship and their attention to detail was second to none. Any issue we had was addressed immediately and courteously.

Academia gave us a few bonuses as well. Free soffit lighting and patched up all the water damage inside from our leaky skylights.

Gord & Joe are true professionals... on a very complicated cedar roof re-fit job they successfully solved the problems of leakage and poor insulation.

This company did an excellent roofing job for us 7 years ago, so, when I discovered that we had a small leak, I contacted the owner Gordon Bailey again. Based on my previous experience I was hoping to receive courteous and prompt service.The response exceeded my expectations. Within three hours somebody came, located the source of the problem and fixed it.I had also placed an urgent call to another roofing company and it took them four days to return the call!!
