We needed a small length of wood fence (about 30 feet) plus a gate replaced. Quite a lot of companies won't come out for such a small job (or provide a ridiculous quote that would make it more than worth their while).

We found Dany and The Custom Deck Company through Homestars and couldn't be happier. As others have stated, from the moment Dany came out we felt comfortable (certainly didn't hurt that his quote was very competitive).

Dany was extremely responsive to my (many) emails and questions and showed up with his crew right on time.

During construction, the whole team ran like a well-oiled machine. Not a wasted movement or moment. The fence went in along the back of a full length garden and the whole team was very careful to minimize any impact to it. Cleanup was fast and thorough.

It's truly a pleasure watching people, that know what they're doing, do what they're good at. For anything fence or deck related in the future, I know exactly who we're calling.

Our fence needed replacing. Dany and his team consulted with us and provided a number of options we could consider with accurate detailed quotations for each option. We were taken by his good nature, good will and obvious concern for good customer service.
Dany completed the work on time, on budget and as planned. Integrity is saying what you will do and doing what you say. Dany and his team carry themselves with integrity.

We picked Custom Deck on Home Stars because of the glowing reviews and we were certainly not disappointed. Dany and his team were simply amazing from beginning to end. When Dany came to look at our project for the estimate, we pretty much knew right away that we could trust him and and that wanted to hire him. We were not disappointed!!!
When we first considered having a composite deck installed, we were concerned about the feasibility of the project as we did not want to demolish the existing deck with its beautiful stone benches. However, Dany was very reassuring and proceeded to explain to us in details how he would have the PVC deck installed on top of the terra cotta tiles. This ended up being a very cost efficient route and fitted our budget perfectly. The outcome is simply stunning. A heartfelt thank you to Dany and his crew. We LOVE, LOVE our deck!!!! We are very satisfied with the new deck built for us by The Custom Deck Company. Dany and his team were very professional and trustworthy and provided good advice to us. My wife loved the colour of the composite decking suggested by Dany. The beautiful look of the finished deck was exactly what we expected. Our neighbour gave us very good comments on our new deck too. Dany could deliver what he promised; his team who built the deck for us were polite and efficient. The estimate process was timely and they made a plan/sketch (unlike some other estimates I got). The price compared reasonably with other estimates.

They started pretty soon after I gave the go-head. It took about 2 weeks, including everything, which was pretty good. The finished product accurately reflected the plan/sketch and my wants. I expect it will last decades. There was good attention to detail and they guys were polite and friendly.

The job completed on time. The contractor is willingly correct issues when pointed out. I wish some of the PVC cutting could be better for not using free hand.
