2 B Wired!

Benjamin was great find for an electrician. We were doing a large basement renovation in our townhouse - stripped the basement right down - Benjamin was polite, professional, prompt and fun to work with. He has a great sense of humour which always helps when your under pressure as a homeowner dealing with contractors, finances and time restraints. Detailed on his paperwork and his expert knowledge dealing with everything electrical -you know that he cares about the work he does and that you as a customer are taken seriously. He did work on our in-floor heating, led lights, sound system and internet and data cables. He also helped most recently with our kitchen with a changeover of old style retrofit pot lights to new led's. Great work - cleaned up when finished - would recommend Benjamin to other friends and family anytime.

I bought a bungalow which had an older electrical panel with fuses. I called Ben from 2B WIRED to get an assessment. He was punctual for the appointment; he did a thorough and full assessment of the panel and all the requirements of the house such as the appliances, outlets, connections and grounding. He recommended a suitable panel, provided a quotation and with the go ahead instructions, he immediately contacted Hydro and the Municipality to arrange for a permit and inspection. He later emailed a written quotation listing details of all the work to be done. The work was completed at the arranged date and time at the price he quoted. I have dealt with other contractors, however, I found Ben to be very professional and also I did not feel pressured or rushed into making a decision. I am very pleased with Ben’s work and would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

We had serious issues with our electrical and got referred to Ben. He worked relentlessly with TorontoHydro many times even though they made the issue very difficult. He went above and beyond the job to solve the issue. He was professional and offered his services free of charge to work with Toronto Hydro even though they were at fault for an issue. He was committed to the job and always followed through with his word and quote. Great service!

I called Ben at 2B Wired to run some wiring in the basement for a future on demand water heater and install a baseboard heater. He was punctual and very friendly. It was quite a difficult job. Ben listened to what I wanted and gave me some excellent suggestions that saved me time and money. In the end he installed all the wiring and left the basement clean. Some of the work was up in the joist and I was concerned drilling around so many existing wires and pipes. I felt like he didn't rush the job and handled it carefully. I would recommend him to anyone and would defiantly use him again.

I recently bought an older home in central Mississauga which needed some electrical upgrades on the upper floor. My list included sealed potlights with a 3 way switch, under cabinet lighting, new 20 amp GFI’s, T5 fluorescent cavity lights and new hard wired smoke detectors. Based on the reviews posted on Homestars, I decided to give Ben Britton a call. Ben was very professional. He reviewed my list, made some additional recommendations that would provide a better end result. I left Ben with a key to my home and he finished everything according to schedule. In addition, Ben took the time to walk through everything with me and answer all of my questions. I am very pleased with Ben’s work and I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

We bought an older home in Port Credit only to discover after we moved in that the power in the whole house would short out when we had a microwave and a hairdryer running. The house was wired to 2 or 3 breakers. Frustrated we called 2B Wired on the recommendation of a friend who had recently had Knob and Tube removed by them. Ben (the Electrician) arrived when he said he would. He was both professional and courteous. While evaluating the situation he found buried junction boxes, spliced wires and a bare live copper wire hidden in the ceiling among other problems.

He listened to our concerns and provided us with free estimate which included the cost of a new panel installation, a whole home rewire, and most materials. While doing the work he cleaned up after himself as he went and was very helpful in suggesting excellent drywallers to patch the wholes he had to make to complete the job. It was nice to know exactly what we were getting into at the start. We are thrilled with the way everything works now and we feel very safe with the work Ben completed for us according to schedule.

I asked Benjamin Britton to recommend supplementary lighting for a den. He recommended 5 pot lights be installed in the existing bulkhead. He purchased the required material, and "fished" the electrical wire needed approximately 24 feet - including going around 2 right angled corners. He accomplished this without cutting any new holes, by utilizing 3 holes already cut in the bulkhead to accomodate speakers for the sound system. I am very pleased with the result of Ben's work. The 5 pot lights he recommended provide the desired supplementary lighting, and the quality of the workmanship is first-rate.

I also asked Ben to repair an existing pot light in the hall. Ben examined the light, explained that the existing fixture had heated to the point it had "warped", and recommended a fixture that would not "overheat", and would meet the required building code. He purchased the material and upgraded all three of the substandard pot lights.
