Adrian and his crew from tip top flooring were very professional, and punctual. Adrian said he would be at my house 10:00 am,he showed up at 9:45 am. As soon as he showed up, his crew was restoring the hardwood.
Even before they started the job, he was showing me what tools they would be using, how they stripped the original finish off. I found that informative. I would strongly recommend hiring this company for all of your hardwood floor needs because they also are reasonibly priced.

We hired Adrian to tidy up some scratched flooring in our old home, ready to sell the house. We were so impressed with his professionalism and honest advice that we hired him again when we moved to stain the entire expanse (2 floors) of a large house to a darker colour, including removing stair case spindles and rails and staining those.
Adrian gave us good advice, a reasonable quote and worked around other contractors we had coming in and out.
He turned up every day on time and finished the job to schedule. Would recommend Adrian.

We hired Adrian and crew from TipTop flooring last june to refinish the hardwood in our whole house.

We were very impressed with the level of workmanship we received from TipTop. We required a couple patch jobs throughout the house (eg. to cover an old cold-return vent) and were very impressed that once all the work was complete, it was almost impossible to tell where the new floor met with the old.

We also really enjoyed dealing with Adrian. We was very organized and polite and kept in communication with us regarding the progress of the work.

I was referred to Tip Top Flooring by a friend. He used their services and was very happy with them. We just bought a house and wanted to refresh the look of our floors. It required installation/repair and sanding/varnishing .Adrian, TipTop estimator, is very professional and knowledgeable. He explained us the work to be done in details, and gave me a great price.

We were very pleased with the job they have done! The floor looked flawless! I also appreciated their great work ethic. The job was done on time, and they kept the house as clean as possible. Adrian's done the floors for 4 sets of friends and I found him to have great rates and quality workmanship.

The only thing they could have done was warn me about the amount of dust, and possible remedies, ie. clean ducts, furnace filters, etc.

We had only headaches with this company, and then in the end, the work they did is substandard. We will have to hire another flooring company to fix their work. They never showed up when they said they would (usually an hour or more later, or not at all) and what should have been a 2.5 day job turned into a month-long hassle of them coming back to try and fix their previous mess ups. I really don't think they have much experience in flooring, given the basic errors they made on our floors.
They sanded and then put the polish on much too early, trapping a lot of the sanded material in the finish. They then had to re-sand, re-stain and polish. In the end they missed several spots in the final polish so we now have these dull, dirty looking spots on our hardwood.
The colour match too was way off at the beginning, and so when they re-did it, they mixed some stains to better match our floor. Why couldn't they have done a mixture and test strip to begin with, rather than go through the whole thing with a colour that obviously looked way off?

They gave us a small rebate in recognition of the problems they had with our job.
When they installed the hardwood upstairs, they chipped our freshly painted wall in several places with their equipment. The quality upstairs is substandard too-- Adrian blamed this on the hardwood I had purchased from Home Depot, in that it was different widths, but I have my doubts about that being the cause of the poor installation. There are gaps between the wood pieces, that Adrian's solution for was to use a wood filler cream (that doesn't even match in colour to our wood).
Their subcontractors did not speak English and I was never able to communicate with them. I didn't feel comfortable having them in my house, as they did not appear very friendly.
I would be very cautious about hiring them-- our experience leads us to think they really don't know how to professionally do floors, or at least several of their subcontractors don't know how to do them.
Update: Now 2 months after our original reno, the areas of the floor that Tip Top did are buckling in and the nails are dangerously protruding. We now have to spend a lot more money to fix the mess they did.
