Monster Plowing Company

We purchased this service for my elderly parents. We decided to spend $500 more than our previous providers because we believed that they would do a better job. We have been nothing but disappointed. They do not clean all the snow, they are not timely, if they show up at all. We will not sign up with this company again and we will advise others to stay away too.

I have used Monster Plowing Company for 5+ years and I have been totally satisfied with their service - reliable, efficient and responsive. Particularly noteworthy is their use of social media and up-to-date GPS technology and their communication on weather events and progress in clearing snow. I can recommend them without qualification.

We hired Monster Plowing Company in 2012 to maintain our branch offices through the winter. I was extraordinary pleased with their efficiency and flawless customer service. They promised us service by 8am and were the first company to actually deliver. I highly recommend using them :)

Work was completed on time with minimal customer disruption at my 3 locations. We don't have to call for follow up service over the course of the contract. One of the better service providers we have used for snow removal.

This team that comes here every winter, to take care of the plowing and removing the snow and making sure we have ice melting on our site to help all the customers that come in here to either park or pay their accounts. We are so proud of the work that they have done for us over the years and not once have we ever complained about what they have not done or did. We've hired Monster for a number of years now to service our driveways and office entrances. Our property has one main gate so it is very important that it receives timely snow clearing when there is a storm. They always arrive quickly and the work is done well. The updates they send via email are very helpful.

I did not have a very good experience with this company - they did plow my driveway but the work I had to go through in order for that to occur was ridiculous, particularly given the very high cost they charge. Maybe they are good for commercial customers but their residential customers like myself fall to the very bottom of the list. They claim they come before the snow falls to scope out your property and make sure they are prepared. Well, the first snowfall comes and they plowed my neighbour's driveway, not mine. You would think they would be extremely apologetic and embarrassed - instead, I spent two hours of my day fighting with them and emailing them pictures as they (1) claimed I was mistaken since their records showed it was plowed and (2) when I sent them photos showing them proof, they said they were too busy that day to replow it but would make a note of it on my file for next time. Yes, they actually said that. As the season went on, they did plow my driveway instead of my neighbor's but are super strict on the snow minimum - if it is a tiny bit less than the cm required for plowing, they will not come. And if it snows five days in a row but each snowfall is technically under the minimum, they will not come. So you should just know that you may still have to shovel yourself. And then I had to call them a number of times again because I asked them not to put salt on our old stone steps but they kept doing so, and we have young children and the walkway they shoveled was done so narrowly that the stroller wouldn't fit. They would sometimes fix it but sometimes not. All in all, very poor service considering it cost so much!

We have 24 properties in downtown Toronto and Monster Plow clears the snow in the parking area of the properties for us. I have found this company to be generally good. I sometimes get complaints about the work from my tenants but they respond to the problems really quickly. Also, out of the 24 I have only had one or two complaints so that says something! I have been using their service for 3-4 years now and have been really happy with them.
