TS Kitchen

Working with Traian of TS Kitchens was a great experience. He did a complete rebuild of my small condo kitchen and I couldnt be more thrilled with the outcome!

I am not very experienced with renovations, but Traian took the time to walk me through each step so I always understood what was required and which decisions needed to be made when. He was scrupulous in making sure I understood the exact costs of each choice before I committed, so that I was never surprised by the bill.

The quality of the work was such a huge improvement over what I had before. Traian paid attention to every detail, and at each stage helped me prioritize what was really important to me.

In the early part of the pandemic, I called TS kitchen to get a quote on a small kitchen project. But, due to the pandemic restrictions, the project had to be on hold before it even started. Finally it was back on track in March of this year.

My kitchen was renovated a few years ago but one corner was left vacant until I could find a microwave that would fit in that space. I already had a cabinet box made, therefore with a microwave in the middle, a cabinet door was planned on top and a drawer on the bottom. Traian provided a reasonable quote for this project which also included some minor repairs around the kitchen.

Minor repairs: The hood vent needed to be extended to the ceiling but I requested no drill into the thin porcelain backsplash because it could potentially crack. Traian followed my request and got this done without any issues. He also volunteered to stabilize the dishwasher that was shifting. It was under warranty but Traian was able to fix it efficiently and remake the kick plate underneath to fit properly. The uneven gaps between cabinet doors were an eyesore before but he took time to adjust the hinges and the result was better than I had hoped. He also did a great job closing the gaps between cabinets and walls by replacing the existing fillers with properly measured new fillers. These minor finishing touches made a huge difference in making my kitchen look complete.

New Cabinet door and drawer: This part of the project did not go smoothly. Firstly, the new drawer was incorrectly made by the factory so Traian had to return and remake it. This caused more delays. When they were finally installed, there was a small gap due to the uneven walls. Not a big deal but it wasn't something I had anticipated. But the real problem for me was the color of the cabinets which I had chosen. The color looked dull due to the lack of lights in that corner. Clearly this was my mistake and I was willing to pay to get them repainted. However, asking a contractor to redo work is never a welcome task, especially in the middle of a busy schedule. Thus, I wondered if I would hear from him again even though he said he would discuss with the factory and get back to me on it. It took a few weeks but he did get back to me with a quote and soon he had the cabinet doors repainted for me.

Traian took time and hard work to complete my kitchen project the right way. There were some bumpy rides along the way but he was able to resolve them. I am quite satisfied with the overall result. I would highly recommend Traian to anyone who wants to renovate their kitchen.

When my husband and I renovated our home, one of the rooms we were most excited to redo was the kitchen. We had a vision of what we wanted, and were excited about the possibilities, but we werent sure exactly how to bring that vision to life this is where Traian enters the story!
Our first interaction with Traian was when he came to see our current kitchen (take measurements, hear about our vision for what we wanted to achieve, etc.). Our impression during this first visit was that he was a very straight, to the point type of guy. We werent sure how this was going to go. Having dealt with many other contractors, we were well aware that finding the good ones isnt always easy, and that first impression had us a bit worried. However, as that visit progressed, it became clear that Traian was the person for the job. He listened to what we wanted and was able to offer suggestions for how to make it even better. After that first meeting, he drafted up a plan for our kitchen, and we were ready to get started!
The first step in the process was for us to order all the parts that were needed. Traian did a fantastic job of simplifying this process for us. There are a lot of parts needed to build a kitchen, but he laid them all out clearly on a spreadsheet, making it easy to follow along, ensuring nothing gets missed.
Once all the parts came in, we worked with Traian to schedule time for the work to be done. As with all contractors, Traian is a busy guy, but he worked with us to find a time that worked. He knew how badly we wanted to get the kitchen done ASAP, and he really worked with us to make that happen.
As if we werent already impressed with Traian at this point, things only got better from here. As the work began, we started to encounter the inevitable snags (uneven walls, uneven ceilings, etc.). But with each challenge, Traian rose to the occasion. He truly has an eye for detail and brings a level of professionalism and perfection to all that he does. Even when a fix would add unexpected time to the job, he didnt hesitate to get it done. There are no shortcuts with Traian he knows what he is doing and does it the right way EVERY TIME.
Beyond being excellent at what he does, Traian is also a great guy. Himself and my husband would talk every morning when Traian arrived. One day, Traian was heading out to get a coffee. I was out with the car that day, so my husband asked Traian if he would mind getting a coffee for him too. Not only did Traian deliver but they also had a GREAT laugh about how usually its the homeowner buying coffee for the contractor, and not the other way around. But from that day forward, anytime Traian got a coffee for himself, he would also think about my husband. Just one example of the type of guy Traian is.
Now that our kitchen is done, we can truly say that Traian far exceeded our expectations. He saw every bump in the road as a challenge that he was determined to overcome, and everything he did was done with precision. In a day and age where it is hard to find people who spend the time to do the job right, we can confidently say that Traian is one in a million!

We had some old drawers in our kitchen that needed to be replaced as they were falling apart and not very functional. Traian was able to provide the model numbers of all the IKEA drawers I needed to get and then he installed them. The quality of the work was great and the new drawers are very nice and work really well. I would highly recommend him as he did a great job.

we had small project to convert our wine rack to dishwasher.
The project include remove old wine rack and paint and install new cabinet wall, connect wire from kitchen to basement and install dishwasher. Traian did a perfect job for us.

Traian installed Ikea cabinets and countertops in my condo kitchen in July 2022 and his work was impeccable. He had to contend with wavy walls, an uneven ceiling, and oddly sized appliances but the kitchen turned out wonderfully.
He offered suggestions for improving the layout, custom cut cabinets to optimize storage space, and covered up shoddy-ish work done by my general contractor.
I really can't say enough about the quality of his work. He sweated over tiny details that 99% percent of people would never notice. One example: he spent 30 minutes cutting one piece of filler so it plugged an awkward gap left by my contractor. Most people probably would have just filled the gap with caulk, which would have looked terrible up close. But not Traian.
He also patiently explained to me, a reno noob, everything he was doing and why.
No matter what the internet says, hanging Ikea cabinets properly is hard. It takes skill and dedication. Traian has both. I recommend him 100%.

Traian has been fantastic. He is diligent, very attention oriented and extremely knowledgeable.
Our original thoughts for our kitchen remodel were very narrow. Traian made some wonderful suggestions which we incorporated into the design and we are so happy that we did.
We LOVE our new space, the kitchen is functional and beautiful. Traian was great to work with!

Traian knows what he is doing. I explained what I was trying to achieve and left him for 4 hours and I was pleased with the final results. He was meticulous even straightened out my other cabinets.
