I wrote a favourable five-star review of Burl-Oak Landscaping when my large landscaping project was completed in April 2021, because I was truly satisfied with the end result at the time. However, within my two-year warranty period, I had several cracked pavers and a problem with my waterfall installation. I reached out to the owner, Louay, to resolve the issue. However, he refused to accept that these problems were covered under the warranty, was difficult to reason with, and never visited my home to investigate the issues. The matter is now in Small Claims Court.
What was most difficult in dealing with Burl-Oak Landscaping is that it operates out of P.O. Box business address (contracts and all email correspondence), meaning there is no physical address with staff to meet with and deliver correspondences to (including legal documents).
While Burl-Oaks sales and marketing team were pleasant to negotiate my contract with, do not be misled by their promises. Ultimately, Louay executes the projects and makes all business decisions on warranty matters. If you have a problem, you will be dealing with him.
