Windows and patio doors

I wanted to thank Demetre and his team for an outstanding job! Quality of windows, installation and price point all exceeded our expectations. We had several quotes and Demetre’s price was by far the best. Initially I was concerned of quality of windows and quality of installation due to the price being significantly lower - however after doing some research, even the window manufacturer receives high ratings. In short, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his service!

Installation entry door

Great work done by Demetry and his guys on my entry door installation and patio sliding door. From start to finish, Demetry made everything a smooth process. Very reasonable rates. If one thing to critique, the storm door sliding window could be a lot smoother, i will definitely contact the manufacturer regarding this issue to have it fixed but overall great job.

Window replacement

Replaced a few windows and basement windows with Visage Windows & Doors. They had the best price and were quick to come and provide quote. Basement windows were done very good. A window in a bathroom - not quite. The caulking job was quite poorly executed and the window itself is not the best - there is a gap between the front and back pane so I have always open ventilation as a result. Overall - happy with I received but I would choose a different company for more "important" windows.

Front door and installation

Happy with the product and installation.
Both Dimitry and the installer were professional and did a good job installing our front door. They cleaned up well after themselves, and it looks great.

great warranty service

Visage installed windows on entire house in 2012. One of the windows opening mechanisms broke and it was impossible to open. Window City were not nice at all and refused to fix it after their 5-year warranty. Dimitry kept good on his 25-year warranty and came and fixed it. He was never equivocal about it and said right from the first call he was going to take care of it.

Enclosed an outside deck 2 walls attached to house

I have used Dimitry on two other projects which were fine. This time was not. From the beginning the casement windows (4) were very hard to open and close and the screens fall out when it is windy. He told me they were just stiff because they were new so I said I would try them. They loosened a very small amount except for one that would not close at all which is not right. I talked to Dimitry in Sept 19 and he told me to text him my address again and he would send someone out. Since that call and my subsequent text he does not pick up the phone, answer my voice messages and will not return texts. NOTHING. I tried to call Window City about the 5 year warranty and they wanted to charge me over $300. for a service call. I can get the local window company here for much less and they are reliable I wish I'd used them now.
Dimitry shot himself in the foot for future referrals (which he has had quite a few from me) amd I have 3 new houses for my kids going onto the back of my property which would have been a very large job for him. I guess people should stand behind their product AND keep their promises.

Window install: The good. The bad. The ugly.

I have waited over a month to calm down in order to try to write a fair and objective review of our experience with this company after having spoken with others who have windows installed by other companies and their outcomes. Here it is.

We were referred by a friend who had Visage do some work for him and said they were pretty good. My wife selected them as she most liked their style of windows. They were NOT the cheapest quote we received which was fine - you often get what you pay for and this was an important long lasting project/decision. Based on the times provided we picked a delivery/ install date three weeks away.

The Good
The windows installed - but not made by Visage - look nice, and so far seem to be doing their job as far as heat transfer/retention goes as we have had a cold front move in and they’re not leaking cold air/drafty like previous windows. Ask me again in 10 years.

The Bad
Morning of install booking nobody showed up at stated start time (8:30am). Called Dimitry the salesperson at 9am. He looked into it immediately. ‘Job somehow didn't get on the production schedule’. He wanted to reschedule install to next day that called for rain/did rain and we had plans for. I said no let's do it today as we have the weather for it, it’s still early, we have the day booked off from work and have prepared the house for the construction. When nobody was still here by 12pm I contacted him and said let's just do what we can today and you can return next week to finish. I don’t want guys still in my house at 8pm tonight nor do I want the job rushed. He said no it's okay we are almost there and it should take no more than 4/4.5 hours. I found this both ambitious and suspicious.

The Ugly
Lone window guy was still here at 8pm in the dark that night completing install long after the rest of crew took back off. The interior silicone caulking is a shambles and was everywhere (see photos). When Dimitry showed up right on time the next day for full payment I invited him to have a look around at the work – he said ‘the windows look nice’. When questioned about the caulking job he said this was their best silicone guy and that's the best they can do based on his vast experience, and that the job was not rushed because of the late start. The cleanup was a shambles. And I got to spend the next two days out on a ladder detailing our brand new windows with Goof Off to remove the sticker decal residue, greasy hand prints, etc they either couldn’t be bothered with doing or missed in the dark. If I didn't have a very tall ladder (as I too work in trades), the ability to climb it, work at weird angles at heights and the time to clean them we would have been screwed as they were not returning to detail them. Astonishing.

We gave the company numerous opportunities to return to clean up caulking, redo some work, refund some of the ticket price, etc and the solution we were given is they wanted to add some additional interior wood framing to cover/hide the work (think of a quarter round on a baseboard, only in your windows that’s not stained or made to match). We did not feel confident they could pull it off without more headaches and band aid fixes so we passed.

Terrible experience at a $9000 price tag.

Caveat emptor.

Excellent Job on my window with Amazing Customer Service

Got Dimitry tel. no by referral I was amazed by the excellent customer service I got on the phone I met with Dimitry he was very polite and knowledgeable the price was very reasonable comparing to a couple of other companies I had contacted. My windows were older he replace all the window did all the clean up. His crew did an excellent job installing the new windows. After a while I accidentally broke an expensive part on my window I called Dimitry he got the part came and fixed my window even though he was very busy he found the time to fix my window at no cost. I would recommend Visage Windows & door in a heartbeat. I would like thank Visage Window for their excellent service

Love the windows

I needed to get all my windows replaced in my century home. Visage (Dimitry) set up an appointment for me to meet with Andy within a couple of days.
Andy was very thorough in describing the difference between window inserts and brick to brick replacement windows, and the pros and cons of each. Initially, we decided on inserts because of the age of our house. Andy made a second visit when we had second thoughts about inserts and then, with further input from Andy and our installer, we decided that full replacement would be best.
We placed our order with Andy who had no issue with us using our own installer team. Five weeks later, Visage delivered the windows manufactured by Window City to our home. They are now installed and look amazing!
Andy was very helpful throughout our buying process; there was no "hard sell" (unlike other companies), he returned phone calls and emails promptly, and is a very pleasant individual to work with.
