Right Away Movers

We had a positive experience with this Moving Company. We asked them to be careful with our stuff from the beginning. At the end nothing was damaged. This was the most important for us.
We will call them again next time we move.

I moved early this year from Mtl to Toronto. I received great help from the company. They arrived on time and were careful with all my furniture. Price was fair and respected as we previously agreed on. I would recommend it to plp doing local movings.

I called this company for an emergency move that had to be completed the same day,the receptionist was very understanding of my situation and had 3 men at my home within 2 hours, my move went very smoothly, the men protected all of my belongings with blankets and nothing was damaged, I thank you from my heart for taking care of my stuff, the cost for 3 men at $95.00 per hour I found to be very reasonable especially since I had to move same day as I called to book, I wanted to write this and give credit where credit is due, since there is so many moving companies out there which are not the greatest or honest for that matter I will recommend you to any one I know is moving.

This was the worst moving experience I had. We were quoted something way off from what we were charged, they added on extra fuel charges as well as extra travelling time. Our 6-7 hours moving time quote was actually turned into a 13 hours + all the charges. The truck broke down on the way and no one informed us. We waited 5 hours for truck to be arrived. They wanted us to pay first or they will not unload. Told us if you do not pay the outragous bill then they do not unload or unlock the truck. The movers were terrible. Broke many of our stuff. When I called the company, they said the items are not insured. They were just throwing the stuff without reading the boxes labels. We end up moving heavy boxes in right place. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone and hope this review stops someone from making the same mistake we did. I wish the rating was below 0. (extremely dissatisfied).

The pack the truck with your things then want to "settle up" before they unload, then tell you if you do not pay the outragous bill then they do not unload or unlock the truck. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone and hope this review stops someone from making the same mistake we did.

Right Away Movers is not a legitimate business. The owner is deceitful. Extra fuel charges, extra hours added to the bill, false estimates are to be expected when dealing with this company. We received a quote of 4 men for 10 hours at $85/hr. When the actual move started and furniture was on their truck, the owner claimed the $85.00 rate was only for 3 people, 4 men would be $120/hr. We agreed, then after approx 35 minutes the 4th person left the house, never to return. The move took approx 19 hours to complete, instead of 10 as quoted, then we were charged $120 for fuel, on top of $170 ($85/per hour each way) for travel. The distance between the houses is less than 35km. The truck they provided wasn't big enough for one load, so they made 2 trips. They still weren't able to fit all out pictures and other furniture into the 2 trips, so we had to do a few extra runs ourselves. As well, the guys moving wanted money under the table for tasks that were in the estimate. Terrible company. Stay as far away as possible.
