We are very happy with the final product that Joel Daniel's delivered in redoing our roofing shingles. From the outset, a quotation was left at our doorstep detailing the work (vents, GAF shingles, ice/water shield, etc) with a final price. I've been warned not to trust quotes given when no one has actually gone up the roof for inspection. I asked Dan (owner) about this and he showed me a satellite image of the roof they obtain which allows them to assess the cost. Dan was very knowledgeable and explained the various items in the quotation. To help us choose shingle color, Dan brought samples of shingles and mentioned addresses of recently completed jobs in the area. Our roofing job began on schedule and was completed on schedule. I truly appreciated the professionalism of the crew. As the job progressed, they ensured the roof stayed water tight in case of rain. They also were friendly and took the time to answer various questions we had. Workmanship was excellent and certain problem areas of the roof received extra attention (extra caulking, extra drip pan). Note, make sure extra items are detailed into the contract. The materials used were also high quality, for example, the screws to secure the drip pan have rubber seals to ensure no water leakage. At the end of each day, all debris was cleared away. Overall, price was very competitive (cheaper than several other quotes we obtained), workmanship excellent, and Dan and crew friendly to deal with. I'll be recommending Joel Daniels to our neighbours.

After a couple of damaging windstorms and lots of sun damage, our original "25 yr warranty" asphalt roof needed replacement in it's 17th year. I actually attended the Ottawa Home Show at the EY Center this spring, and got literature from several installers. After a bit or research and a few quotes, it was down to a couple of installers, and we ultimately decided on Joel Daniels Eavestrough Inc. from Honey Gables in Riverside South . They have been doing the majority of roofing in our Riverside South community, and the decision really came down to word of mouth from the homeowners here that we ultimately based our decision on. It only took 6 weeks from date of deposit to completion of the job. Roofing materials were delivered and a few days later a full crew of 6-7 guys were here a total of 3 working days. Although the weekend in between was warm and sunny, it was nice that they also had the weekend off, which gave us time to relax outside and do housework over the weekend. The crew was here about 7:20 each day, and the perimeter of the house was very clean every evening. Aside from a couple of stray nails that they missed, no other debris or material was left behind. The roof looks great. The experience was better than expected, the price was very competitive, and Dan and the crew were very professional. I have the feeling too, that if any follow-up was required, Joel Daniel's would be back to deal with it. Honest, competitively priced, GAF quality products, timely, clean. What more can you ask for? Yes, I am satisfied, and would recommend this company.

After a very clear estimate, the work was done to a high standard including the site clean-up. The crew were friendly and courteous. Accidental damage to an eavestrough was repaired (by replacing the piece) promptly by the owner the next day. A company that cares. Would definitely hire again.

I called Joel Daniel's after I saw them doing another 7 houses on my street. I asked a few neighbours if they were happy with the service and they all said yes. Dan's team were professional, easy to deal with, and tidy. They re-roofed my townhouse for 20% less than my neighbours paid.

I went with Joel Daniel's because I was told by the sales rep that the installers were paid by the hour (instead of by the length of eavestrough installed) and because I was told that the downspouts would be extended as far away (and in whatever direction) from the house as I reasonably wanted (instead of just 1.5 feet, like the other quote I got). Excellent job by Kyler and Dave - could not have asked for better.

Dan was great to deal with. I had a leak and they repaired the damaged area first before the rest of the roof. Job well done. Cleaned up well at the end.

I had my roof and eavestrough done by this company after doing research on this site and the internet. Their work was so good and well executed that a total of 8 other neighbours joined in and got their roof done by Dan and his crew. His price was competitive and cheeper than 3 other companies we got quote on a GAF Timberland HD shingles product. Winter barrier, drip edge, maxi vents new valleys and GAF Armour membrane were installed appropriately and the final product looked great. The eavestrough installed by Mark and his partner are so nicely done and precise that it really add a nice finish touch to the new roof. His warranty is great and as required their work will be inspected by GAF product representative. Dan and his crew including John, Rob, Mark and others which I can't remember their names thanks to my own issue with remembering names were professional, approachable and attentive to our specific requirements. They completed the roof in 2 days and Mark came in after and finished the eavestrough in two days. They kept their work clean during and after the project. After putting it off for a number of years, we finally decided it was time to replace some rotting fascia boards, change the eavestroughs, and have metal cladding applied to the wood trim on our home. We contacted Joel Daniel's, who was quick to respond; within a day, we had a visit from Luke, who explained the entire process and gave us a quote. We were told that we would likely have to wait about a month to have the work done, a time-frame that was acceptable to us. We contacted Luke about 30 days after signing the contract, and he arranged to have the installation begin the following week. The installation crew were professional, punctual, thorough, and made sensible recommendations for downspout placement. We are quite pleased with the finished product, and with the guarantee. In our opinion, Joel Daniel's Eavestrough is a responsive company that provides a quality product.
