Complete an unfinished basement

I have already recommended James to others. He and his crew were very professional. The contract was well laid out resulting in no surprises along the way. This is truly the start of a very long relationship. Everyone should want James in their back pocket as a handyman.

painting of living room, kitchen, large stairway, hallway, 2 bedrooms and office. Leaky repair in master bathroom, new flooring and tiling around shower and middle wall . New flooring in main bathroom. Painting of both bathrooms, replacement of one toilet

We contacted James from his web site and were not too sure what to expect but the words and his reason for becoming a handyman service told me that he sounded passionate and dedicated to his work...well my first instincts were NOT wrong. James lives the words integrity, honesty, workmanship and customer service/c are.
He has turned what was a fumpy, old, scruffy town home into a place that I am no longer ashamed and or embarrassed to have folks see. He has ;painted just about every room, repaired a significant leak and concern in our master bathroom, laid new flooring in both our bathrooms, new toilet and baseboard heaters in them both. His team painted our home in a matter of 3- 4 days but always so mindful of our working schedule and needs. He help with the installation and reference for carpets and installation was invaluable and saved us near $400 . His priority is customer care ...with utmost consideration to your needs and affordability. He is the first to find alternative and or toher otpions that will work just as well. I have made sure to share with many others how great James and his team are. Their dedication to providing not only great results and work, but customer comfort and care, has reassured and helped us inept and naive home owners make our home the best it can be for re sale value. Words alone cannot express our appreciation for this fine man and his rock star team of workers.

Wow Sue those are very kind words thank you. I really do try to treat clients needs like I would family and friends. Helping out with subcontractors is something I always try to do to keep the clients costs down as much as possible. It's also nice to hear that people appreciate the extra work and dedication I put into my service. Thanks again, I've really enjoyed working for you and Rob. You have my number call me anytime at all.

New flooring (kitchen, dining, living room, bathrooms, laundry room)

James made my ongoing "reno saga" so much simpler and took away so much of the stress I had originally experienced when starting my reno journey. Unfortunately, I had been provided incorrect information when incorporating new hardwood flooring, which in the end needed to be replaced. Instead of looking for the best bang for his buck, he looked for the best needs for mine. He showed and continually shows how dedicated he is to make sure his customers are happy. James really listens, follows through on all that I needed (and then some), and provides sound, confident advice - really going that extra mile. He (and his team) absolutely do quality work...hands down a great job while at all times keeping the client's needs as the 1st priority. After having such a positive experience, he will be coming back to do some extra work to get my place ready to sell as that is the kind of craftmanship that is offered..the best! I will and have been highly recommending James to ANY of my friends, family or collegues...as that is how much I trust his workmanship, integrity and honesty...in fact, a collegue has already hired him :) Thanks again James!

General Handyman - fix garage door, drain pipe installation, smoke detector, replace cartridge in leaky shower

Our real estate agent recommended James to us as we had a "to do" list that needed to be done ASAP. James came in and completed the list in record time, professionally, and pleasantly! He is very helpful and doesn't laugh at us "unhandy" types, no matter what the task. It is great to find someone who does quality work, and at a very reasonable price. We are already compiling our second round of "to dos" and will be calling James again next week. Once we move into our new home, we plan to get him to do some of the renos and painting in our new place as well.
Thanks for reducing our stress James!

Residential Repairs and Plumbing

Colleges of mine have used James; however, this was my first direct experience and as I had heard, it was a positive experience on all aspects. As a property manager and residential realtor, it is important to have work done for clients quickly, cost effectively, and professionally. James exceeded my expectations in each of those and I look forward to working together again.

General Handyman - including deck repairs and refinishing. door repairs & door replacement, painting and much more

I had so many things that I needed repaired for so long and the list just got longer and longer because I didn’t know who I could get to do it for me. I read about James on HomeStars and based on the excellent references contacted him and what an excellent decision that turned out to be. James professionally and efficiently worked through my long to do list and it is great to know that when I need things done in the future James is a phone call away. In fact he has just finished the list we agreed and there are a few additional things I need his help with. In the past these items would have been left unattended but not anymore

James is so easy to work with, he is punctual, reliable, communicates with you all the time about progress, costs etc and does a great job. His charges are reasonable and he makes sure there are no surprises when you get the bill. Thanks James.

Various - renovated a basement suite, repaired stairs and desk

Wow what have I not had James do for us. He so impressed us by doing a few small things with such orecision and diligence that I gave him the job of renovating my basement sute - painting, drywalling, replacing floors (laminate and vinyl) and cupboards, replacing blinds and lighting. His work was meticulous. I then had him repair my wooden decks and an entire outside staircase, pressure wash and more painting. He has repaired plumbing issues in my suite, and caulked a bath. More than the quality of his work and his punctuality and constant checking in with me on cost etc James thinks outside the box and is always thinking of the value of your assets he is working on and how to make the best decision for them without breaking the bank. Most importantly he has become a fixture in our lives that we always look forward to seeing. He is warm and engaging and we have shared ideas and a few laughs. I look forward to working with him on many more projects - we dont know how we survived before he arrived

General Handyman Services

We originally hired James when we needed someone to pick up, paint and install bi-fold doors and replace a board on our porch. His charge was approximate $300 less than a previous qoute. We then hired him to power wash our parking pad and do numerous small jobs around the house. James is professional and provides a quality service (including providing good advice, keeping you up-to-date on progress on projects, meeting commitments and working quickly and efficiently). When we think about things we'd like to get done, we no longer have to think " and who are we going to get to do that! I just add it to my CONTACT JAMES LIST.
James is a pleasure to work with and is welcome at our house any time.

Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
I really appreciate that he not only takes on bigger jobs but will also take on those little jobs. I'd recommend you contact James for a quote before you hire anyone else.
