Our old fluorescent light that was hardwired in the furnace room died after 11 years. We had to replace the whole thing and it was too hard for me to do it. I called THIG. They handled everything so professionally. Both my wife and I were so pleased! I highly recommend them. By the way, the electrician whose name was Richard, couldnt have been better. He was so nice and so professional. Thanks, Richard!

Barry of the Home Improvement Group and his co-worker provided competent professional service involving the repair of water damage in two ceilings and one wall. The work was done on time and to my full satisfaction. The service was friendly and efficient. He also took the time to provide expert advice on how to deal with another related construction issue. I would engage him again should the need arise.

Hired THIG to repaint our kitchen cabinets to update the look of our kitchen. Fabio did a phenomenal job and made sure that everything was perfect.

We had a last minute renovation that we realized we wanted to get done before my grandparents came to live with us for a few months. We had done some tile DIY in our house and never got around to grouting it. The existing tile on the main floor needed to be grouted, some cracked tiles replaced, some loose tiles glued down, tile extended into the bathroom, and trim installed. We thought it was probably too late to get it all done since my grandparents were coming in 2 weeks, but when we reached out to THIG, they were able to fit us in the very next week. They got everything done within 4 days, which gave us time to arrange the house and get ready for my grandparents arrival. They were also very flexible - we realized the casing around our doors didn't reach down far enough to meet the tile, and we asked if they could replace the casing, and they agreed and still finished everything on time. Randy and the team at The Home Improvement Group have been exemplary. Going into this major renovation we naturally had concerns because you hear the horror stories. Our experience was fantastic. THIG did what they were responsible for on time and on budget. They guided us through what we were responsible for and made recommendations. Randy went over and above his responsibilities. He picked up supplies when I didn't buy enough. He gave us great advice through our decision making process.
We had a fireplace removed and James made that space look like there was never a fireplace there.

The company was very responsive. Klaudio came next day, looked at what needs to be done, and provided very reasonable estimate next day after that. We agreed when to start, and they came exactly on the day and on the hour. They had to stop the work because the shed I bought was defective and I had to replace it. After I got the replacement they came back and finished the job very quickly. They did a very good job, despite some difficulties. Really good team, I will certainly hire them again.

I hired them to fix what should have been a simple job so I could proceed and sell my townhouse. The shower floor / surrounding tiles had rotted due to a slow leak over the last decade. This required to replace the shower floor, lower surrounding wall and tiles.

What should have been a 2-3 week job took 2 months with continuous delays. Unfortunately I had to do more follow-up than expected on scheduling the work, materials to be ordered and confirming delivery time of materials that should not be the customers responsibility.

Areas of concern included not verifying the amount and the required materials ordered, delays in delivery on the day of work as the contractor was not on site early to receive the material, and putting in an incomplete address for delivery all contributed to the impact in the timelines.
Alex (contractor) actually did a great job as shown by the photos. I just wish throughout this entire process, there was better coordination and communication as I found myself wondering why I had to be so actively involved in essentially "project managing" the activities. As a customer, I believe I should have the peace of mind that the work is being adequately planned and executed by THIG without necessitating my constant intervention.

At least they listened to me and provide me a partial credit back for project management fees. If you plan to use this company please ensure you have a complete list of materials and an accurate schedule before the work begins.

Home Improvement Group (HIG) arranged for a contractor to remove my old deck and replace it with a new composite deck. The work was done on schedule and to my complete satisfaction. The deck looks great and the construction site was completely cleaned up. My house is downtown and the site is difficult to access. I have used the HIG for other projects, including painting and floor installation, and they have never let me down.

Weve used the THIG for various project over the past few years and theyve always been great to deal with start to finish. This project was no different, everyone at the company was a pleasure to work with.

Initially had a few scheduling problems, but once straightened out, the trades people came earlier than I expected, by the time I noticed they were here, they have almost completed half of the job. The site was completely cleaned up afterward also.
The people I dealt with were very friendly and professional.
I am quite please with the installation and feel much safer going up or down these new stairs now.
