It has been a bit of a process with this company. Our experience started out so positively with Rachel as our customer service rep, that we didn't even look around. We selected our flooring and decided to pay for installation because we really wanted it to look as good as possible. We needed to cover up flooring that had asbestos, so our options were limited to a thin vinyl. Our installer was unprofessional, he rushed the job (it was scheduled for 2-3 days, and in total he spent a few hours). The work was very poorly done with uneven lines, un-level tiles, improperly cut tiles, broken tiles and more. We even had to spend hours after he left tearing up the improperly laid transitions, before they dried. The work essentially looked like a crappy kijiji job at a very premium price. I called with our concerns, and Rachel did do a great job listening and sent a more experienced installer to correct some of the issues that could be corrected. Our second installer was great! He spent 8 hours fixing the errors that he could fix. However, looking back, I think we paid WAYYYY too much for the install that we had. The glaring errors are fixed and it is better, but it's not great, and everything was such a hassle. This significantly delayed our renovation, caused a ton of stress, and small things like leveling our appliances became a day long ordeal. We had to wait for 3 weeks for the floors to be fixed and we could move on with finishing the kitchen. We were also very disappointed that a custom transition from one floor to the next wasn't thought up and handled. When we asked about it we were reassured that it would be figured out. When we had the measure, this should have been planned. And in the end we don't love the transitions we were offered but we didn't at that time have a chance to investigate it on our own. It was told that we could pay someone to do a better job, but I guess it wasn't included in the cost of our very expensive install. In my opinion it should have been. Overall they did deal with the issues and as timely as they could. Plus our second installer was great, but felt like we should have been, at minimum, offered a discount on the installation because it was such a hassle and so poorly done initially. We have decided we won't come back for our next few flooring projects, knowing that they sent out a bad installer and charged us as much as the cost of flooring for it. And are not providing any compensation for the time this has cost us.
