Marios Home Renovations

Approximately 6 months ago Mario and his crew redid the tile and replaced the sink area in one of my bathrooms. I'm writing today because the work was so bad it has finally compelled me to post despite my instinct to keep quiet. The entire sink basin has fallen through the sink area, all of the faucets are loose, several tiles have come off of the wall, and the drains no longer work properly, even though that was never a problem before Mario and his team completed their work. I suppose I should say that Mario's quote was competitive and his crew was on time and polite but I would never with good conscious recommend their work. I will likely need to replace everything due to poor workmanship though all the materials I purchased are of high quality.

We interviewed over a dozen contractors and were most pleased with the response that we got from Mario. Not because he was the cheapest or had the best success stories, but because we felt that he was honest in his initial evaluation and was upfront about what could and couldn't be done, along with various options at our disposal and his cost expectations for each option. He was creative with different challenges with our basement, resulting in great design solutions (built-in shelf feature; custom bi-fold doors; custom shower). He came almost every day, and on those days when he was busy at another site or even after-hours, he was easily reachable through phone, email, and text messages. His team cleaned up at the end of every day and had no problems with any of his team. In fact, the few times that we did talk to team members, they always invited us to take a look at the work and advise Mario of any defects or changes we wanted. The drywalling was pretty dusty, but Mario warned us of that several times beforehand. There were no surprises other than a slightly longer schedule - but that was our fault; we asked for changes. One of the best things about Mario was that he wasn't pushy at all - we were informed in advance of any possible deviations from the contract, and gave us informed options for every decision we needed to make... giving us time to do our research and come to our own conclusions.

We had received 3 other quotations in addition to Marius. His quotation was within our expected budget. He provided additional references which we verified. Marius' team was very professional and courteous. His team cleaned-up at the end of each day, His Electrician and Plumber did an outstanding job. The quality of the work was excellent. Marius allowed us to make changes in mid-stream of the project. He was accomodating and is focused on ensuring that we were happy with the work. He provided a fantastic sub-contractor (Happi) for the Stairs reconstruction. Marius came back and ensured that the Stair bannisters had the high-gloss finish. Marius is coming back to apply the high-gloss finish to the stairs as well!!! He is focused on the Customer to ensure that he delivers a high quality finished product. He has many resources who can provide cabinet work, stairs finishing/reconstruction. Marius is always willing to come back for touch-ups and finishes. He is always looking to make sure that he stays within the budget. Marius focused on completing the project within expected timelines, but is flexible in working around our availability as well. I am looking forward to having Marius work on the bathroom and kitchen renovations in the near future.

Mario completed a full bathroom renovation for us including all new plumbing from second story to basement, tiling and fixture installation. Mario completed the project on time and on budget. His team was polite, punctual and professional. They left the job site clean and orderly each night. Mario was helpful and flexible as we made changes and additions to our plans during the project. The end result is a beautiful new bathroom.

We have used Mario on many occasions for basement renovation work. The work was done to our meticulous standards and in a timely manner. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend.

We were looking to renovate our basement and after interviews and meetings with three (3) different Contractors, we knew right away we were going to work with Mario. Very professional, punctual, with an eye for detail are some of the attributes that made this project successful. Mario also advised on plumbing and electrical work we needed and thanks to his advise, we are all the more happy as these upgrades were also needed. Mario and his Team made sure we were happy by going the extra mile with their work. We were also very happy with his Team who were very professional, punctual, cleaned up after their work and amiable. Any other renovation in future, we will make sure to call Mario and his Team.

I asked an estimate from several companies, and Mario's Home renovation not only provided us with the estimate, but listened to our idea about the finished product and suggested changes that improved the functionality of the basement, while still keeping the cost within our budget.

Mario was very reliable. He always arrived when promised, his quality of workmanship was excellent and completed in a timely manner.
I would highly recommend Mario for any tile installation or renovation.
