Distinctive Designs Landscaping

I am extremely happy I hired Distinctive Designs Landscaping for this project. Kurt and the crew have done a wonderful job and I am very grateful. The project threw a ‘curveball’ during demolition but Kurt offered up a couple of solutions, mindful of the original estimate and took the time to explain everything. The crew on site were extremely hard working and the job site was left spotless at the end of each day. A very impressive company and I would have no hesitation in recommending DDL to anyone who asks.

Great experience working with the team at Distinctive Designs from the start, when Kurt was helping me figure out the design, to finish. The whole team was friendly and professional and the final product is beyond my wildest hopes. I'm looking forward to enjoying my outdoor space for years to come!

I learned of Kurt through a colleague who had hired his company the year prior. I had reviewed the work and was impressed with the results. Kurt met with my wife and I a few times and came up with an excellent design. We had an old deck and wanted to replace it with an interlock patio and gazebo. We also wanted two garden beds and a new fence. Kurt and his team showed up on time each day, cleaned up, and were very professional. We wanted to keep a few trees in the backyard, and Kurt came up with an excellent layout to make this happen. The project was completed on time (to the amazement of my neighbour) and another neighbour remarked that he was really impressed by how thoroughly the work area was cleaned up after the completion of the project. We are very happy with Kurt’s work and will hire his company again to work on the front of our home.

After an extensive search, we selected Distinctive Designs Landscaping to work on the design and landscaping of the entire exterior of our newly renovated home. The project included backyard grading and landscaping, flagstone patio design and installation, multi-level planters, custom stonework fire pit, flagstone driveway and fencing. We cannot say enough about Kurt and his professionalism, creativity, high quality workmanship, attention to detail and customer service. He was very easy to work with, had great ideas and completed the job on time and on budget. His team was also very professional and respectful of our property. Kurt and his crew just finished work on my backyard patio. I love it! He worked within my budget, with no surprises. The job site was left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Kurt listened to what we had envisioned, provided options and suggestions but never pressured us into making hasty decisions. He was patient and he made sure that we were comfortable with our decisions. Half way through the project after we saw some of the results of his suggestions, we knew that his option would give us a result that we would be happy with.
The crew cleaned up the staging area at the end of each day. When the project was finished the work site was completely cleaned, which included power washing the driveway and removed any and all construction material.
We are very pleased with the results and now have a functional back and side yard the we can enjoy.

We had previous landscaping done that was a mess. Distinctive Designs came in and redid the layout and created us a beautiful space. Very professional, came in kept clean worked hard days and finished the job in excellent time. We are very picky customers and changed our minds several times.
