Very disappointing experience with this company.

Moving back from Montreal to Toronto, I required a moving company that would reassemble my upholstered bed and dining room table.

Brian W. my sales rep replied to me in writing that my quote would include reassembly.

The movers in Montreal were cautious and courteous while packing my furniture.

My experience in Toronto has not been positive.

On June 3, 2013, I received a call that my goods weighed 4500lbs.

I contested this, as I had only spent one year in Montreal, and having the receipts of the move to Montreal, I contacted my sales rep Brian W. He offered me a re-weigh of my goods, but at a cost of $350.00, if their initial weigh in was correct. I continued to protest, so Brian W. had my goods re-weighed, ending up at just over 2840lbs, almost a 1700 lb difference.

On June 4, 2013, the movers arrive. I have to wonder if my goods were given to a sub contracted mover, as the re-weigh sheet provided to me indicated "Capital Movers"

The movers refused to reassemble my bed and dining room table, despite me showing them my email from Brian W.

As the move progressed, my leather chair was unwrapped, with a piece of wood missing from one of the rear legs.

My dresser and nightstands were unwrapped, revealing paint splatters on the base of the dresser and on one of the nightstands

My upholstered bed was brought in and unwrapped, revealing a dent in the headboard.

I called the Toronto office for Greenland to speak to my sales rep, Brian W, only to discover that he had resigned that day.

I explained my situation to the receptionist, and to her credit, she sent the movers back to assemble my bed. The movers returned, only to discover that the legs to my platform bed were missing.

I called the office back, explaining the situation to the receptionist, she advised me to fill out an online claims form.

I went to the company's website and described the damage to my goods, to a value of $3500.00.

I received a reply from Greenland's claim department, offering me $40.00.

I replied back, calling their offer wholly inadequate.

I have since spoken to the manager Steve, who has offered me $250.00.

When I expressed my discontent with his offer, I was told that he did not like my tone of voice.
I recommend that you avoid this company to move your goods

What can I say except this was the best moving experience of my life! From the first visit by Steve in Halifax to the cross Canada trip I was always in the loop. Calls and texts were answered promptly and driver Oscar was excellent on keeping me informed of the schedule. Jason and Frank really went above and beyond on the unloading working late into the night. Not 1 single dent, scratch or break. For all the extra services you provided during the pick up and delivery in wrapping and protecting my material it was greatly appreciated. Unbelievable service for such a great price! I will never move again without Frank and wouldn't even dream of calling anyone but Greenland Van Lines.”

To all the staff of Greenland Vanlines, thanks for the Good Job. Although one of my furniture has little scratch after move, you still meet my expectations. Your men are time conscious they won't let every minute to be wasted that was obviously awesome. I got plenty of heavy equipment but still you made it like it was too easy for you. All in all I got positive experience on you guys. Your work is perfect except that little scratch on my furniture. But it’s nothing compared to what you did. You are number one!

Very satisfied with Green Land Van Lines
Its very scary to move cross country with all of your belongings, it's a long drive from Calgary to Toronto and I had to make sure I could be comfortable while I wait for my things. They gave me a great price that couldn't be matched as they were having a special promotion for Toronto moves. It even was delivered before I expected it to be, very satisfied!

I had a very good experience with Greenland Van Lines. My booking agency Samantha explained every details to me clearly. On the delivery date the driver came half an hour late for pick up my furniture. But they were kind and careful with my goods. They put them to proper place and reassembled some of my furniture. Thanks to the drivers and Samantha.

I moved from North York (ON) to Burnaby ( BC) the last month with Green Land and I appreciated their services. From the beginning I felt comfortable and I wasn't worried until I received my forniture in Burnaby by the local delegate company who delivered to my house all my stuff, also because when I called the costumer service of the company, they always answer me professionaly and kindly. Thank you to all you guys!

My family moved from Halifax to Vancouver with Greenland Van Lines on March 2013. Our booking agent was Brian and he explained everything in detail. Pick up date was a little late then what I was expected. But the most important thing was nothing damaged and delivered on time. Driver and movers were very professional. I definitely recommend Greenland Van Lines.

Greenland Van Lines recently moved our son from Toronto to Vancouver. Every step of the way things were well handled.

The initial arrangements were clear and straightforward. The pick-up and delivery were timely. Friends of my son supervised the pick-up, and were impressed with the efficiency of the operation. In Vancouve, David was impressed with the courtesy and the helpfulness of the delivery men.

Nothing was missing, and everything was intact. David says it was the best and least stressful move he has ever made.

His move to Toronto, a little more than a year ago (with another van line) cost $3800. With essentially the same contents, the move with Greenland cost $1848!
