DRYWALLING OF CUPBOARD

Rick and Anne were just terrific! We were attempting to add much needed new shelves to our linen closet - on removing the existing horizontal strapping we found ourselves with a mess - exposed lath and crumbling plaster everywhere. The Husband and Wife Team came, did the work of drywalling quickly, efficiently, affordably (and cleaned up beautifully after the work was done each day). Lovely people and a pleasure to deal with!

Insulate and drywall 2 rooms and a ceiling

I live in an old Victorian house in downtown Toronto and wanted to insulate and drywall a draughty storage room to turn it into a cosy guest room, as well as repair water damaged drywall and finish a ceiling. I wanted the walls mudded and sanded to the point of being ready to paint. Rick responded to my query within hours, and came by to look at the repair sites within a day. We talked about the best way to go about the job. The work was finished in a timely manner, and the work area was kept tidy. Best of all is the professional quality of the installation. I can appreciate this as I am doing the painting. Rick is a true craftsman, and was ably assisted by Anne on this job.

Thank you, Ruth. We were very, very pleased to see, and feel, the transformation of the different spaces, as we moved from framing to insulation, to drywalling and mudding. We are looking forward to seeing the fruits of your painting labour, when we return after windows are installed!

Handyman - Small Jobs

Rick and Anne helped with multiple jobs around my house including: Drywall repair, painting, blind installation, hanging a shower rod and installing a new thermostat. Their work is immaculate and I am more than pleased! They are very detail-oriented which I appreciate. In fact, their work is so good I’m inspired about future projects. They are quick to respond to any emails or phone calls and are a pleasure to work with. Their price was also very reasonable. I will definitely work with them in the future! Highly Recommended!!

Small jobs around the house

We are so happy we found Husband and Wife Team on Homestars. Rick was so quick in returning my email and scheduled an in-home visit to provide the proper quote.
He installed a baby gate onto a very unparallel wall and banister, hung a shelf and a mirror and fixed up an old door that is original to our house. He did an amazing job at a really reasonable price!
We would definitely call Rick and Anne for any future jobs, big or small.

Partial bathroom reno

We can't say enough about our experience with Rick. He responded quickly to our email and came out (himself) to look at the project and provide a quote. Because he is the one who does the work, (does not sub-contract), he was able to provide suggestion / ideas on how best to proceed. Also because he doesn't sub-contract, he could control the work schedule and in the end better manage the cost to us. Rick did everything he said he would do - on time - and on budget. We are thrilled with our new washroom. Rick's work was stellar and we are now hiring him for another job!

Renovating Kitchen

We hired Rick and Anne on several jobs. Each time Rick and Anne were extremely punctual, professional and responded to our adjustments with respect. The first job was reflooring our living room. We hired them again a year later to initially just retile our kitchen. However they contributed great design ideas around tearing down a wall, putting in large windows and opening up the kitchen to provide more light. We now have a kitchen that we are in love with. I would highly recommend them.

Thanks for this, Adonis. It was really amazing seeing the transformation of the kitchen and back entry. We appreciate that you had an open mind and had a willingness to open up the space. We look forward to working with you again.

A few small home repairs.....

We called the Husband and Wife team because of their rating on HomeStars, and I'm certainly glad we did! Rick was all around amazing! He was extremely prompt at returning our initial phone call, and he really went out of his way to help us by squeezing the job in last minute – and on a weekend. Rick helped us with a few different jobs around the condo, including fixing a toilet, fixing a light, and hanging a rack in a concrete ceiling: a demanding job! The entire time he was extremely professional and helpful, even teaching us little things as he went. Everything looks and works great, and the cost did not exceed his initial estimate. We certainly appreciate Rick’s helpful and trustworthy nature and his efficient and quality work. We would not hesitate to recommend Rick to anyone! Thanks Rick for helping us out!

Thank you Jennifer and Dana. I have to say that concrete often is NOT your friend, but I was happy to get the pot rack up for you. Nice to be able to organize! I was also happy to give you pointers on the toilet flapper fix and door handle fix. I think it is important that homeowners can learn about some of the minor details for future reference and savings.

Sound Principles...

Just joined here and went to see that my favourite contractor got a high rating. Not surprised. Rick and Anne have done sound proofing work at my studio for 10 years and any job big or small is handled with courtesy and professionalism. 2 thumbs up. 10 stars. Hope you're never too busy for me!

Long list of small jobs

We found Rick and Anne on homestars and what a find! Their work is super-high quality, their follow-up is prompt and professional, and we felt the cost was great value for work well done. We felt very comfortable leaving them alone in our home and they were also great with our dog (and visiting friend). We already have their next project planned out. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others (but hope they will still have time for us!). We look forward to continuing to work with them!
