Service upgrade to 100amp and Surge protector

Nathan came out to Quote the job for 100amp service upgrade and we decided to add on a surge protector as well. This house did not have a finished basement.
Chris and one of the apprentices performed the work.
Work done very well and all done in only 1 day. Also included permit and copies for insurance company of paperwork.
They also included 3 GFI wall plugs and installed 2 by the kitchen sink and 1 in the bathroom. Very well done and would highly recommend and use them again. Thanks guys and gals! Gary M.

Successful installation of Common "C" Wire for thermostat

Checked out ratings on HomeStars for most amount of reviews, scoring, and stars, and found Robarts this way. Needed an extra wire for installation of Nest thermostat. Initially called a bunch of furnace companies and they were going to charge anywhere from $500-1000 for sending gas fitters and furnace staff, when I simply needed an extra wire installation to run the thermostat off the furnace power. Found out that I could easily have electricians come over for installation and cost a fraction of the price. Service was professional, on time, and completed the work successfully. Was satisfied with work and would check HomeStars again for my other home fixing needs.

Kitchen Reno & Lighting Upgrade

Project was on a very short timeline. The estimator came to do quote and provided valuable information about electrical codes and common practises that applied to our project. Formal quote was provided within a very short time and work stared within a couple of days. As promised the entire electrical project was completed within three days. Workers were very knowledgable, professional and polite. Cleaned up every night and cleaned up at the end of the project. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone looking at having electrical work done as part of a Reno project.

$4,500.00

Whole House Upgrade

When it came time for a major kitchen reno in our 1970's bungalow the first thing we budgeted for was an electrical upgrade. We wanted better overhead lighting, under-cabinet lighting, and an overall assessment of the builder installed aluminum wiring. Rob Swyrd gave us the chapter and verse explanation for his several recommendations, to improve safety and modernization. Without deliberation, we went with all his recommendations. This included a electrical panel upgrade, all new kitchen circuits, and pig tailing the aluminum switches and outlets throughout. The peace of mind we got from all the safety upgrades, in particular the aluminum remediation, was worth every penny of the cost. The work was performed very efficiently and professionally, and exactly on budget. My wife and I could not be happier with the service we got from Robart Electrical.

Thank you Rob for the fabulous review. Larger projects are becoming the normal way of improving the home instead of moving. We strive to keep the costs fair so that homeowners can afford the complete all of their dreams.

Right after our phone conversation he sent an estimate and I was booked within a couple weeks. Two gentleman arrived that day and were very professional right from the beginning. They explained the plan for the day and even kept in contact with us vis text messages with updates throughout which I loved.
Our estimate was even more than what our final cost was so that was a bonus

Expansion of Electrical Panel Capacity

I needed to expand the capacity of my electrical panel and install four fault protected exterior plugs and a dedicated circuit for a sump pump. Two electricians advised the panel was too old to expand so a new panel or subpanel was required.
Rob took one look and advised a new panel was not necessary. The existing circuits could be twinned to double the capacity of the panel at a substantial cost saving. The City initially declined the permit because the new circuits were not made or approved by the panel manufacturer. As the panel manufacturer had been bought out and no longer existed this was a problem. BUT Rob did not give up. He worked with the City and the new owner of panel manufacturer to overcome this issue and the work was completed as planned. Just amazing! Rob and his team were a joy to work with throughout.

Thank you for the review. Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Your project was a game changer for sure, we overturned a bylaw that the city maintained and it was in your favour. Thanks again
