After a horrible experience with a previous landscaping company,we were now in search of a reliable and trustworthy establishment.Jay and Jermy were it.Being introduced by word of mouth,there company and professionalism deserves honourable mention.My wife and I were very impressed the concern and assistance they showed in our project,not only the price being reasonable,but the little added touches as well.This level of reliable and friendly service is top class.Keep up the great job guys Thanks Craig H. I purchased a fairly old home two years prior to deciding that I was going to transform my weed invested back into a place where my daughter and two dogs could actually enjoy.

I came across Green Side Up through a friend who uses them to look after their property in Aurora. It was in September of 2012 when I reached out to Jay. I had finally had some money saved and now I wanted my back yard transformed!! The timing was going to be tight as we were approaching the end of the season. Jay met with me to discuss the drawing I had created. Jay had made several small suggestions to the plans and I'm happy that I took his suggestions.

We finalized the drawing, decided on material, talked about the cost and established a time line all within one week of our initial meeting. Green Side Up built me a large patio, a play ground area (using tiny stones) a dog run, two small gardens and brick cover over my BBQ. They also planted a few shrubs and some perennials in the two small gardens.

Because of the massive amount of weeds, Jay said he was going to dig a little deeper into the ground, adding more of that crushed stone and put down this black cloth. He showed me the cloth which had steel fibers in it and I myself wasn't able to rip it apart. He showed me another type of this cloth and explained that many of his competitors use that which I could easily rip. This cloth is used to help prevent the weeds from coming through the stones.

Jay and his guys were very polite and they did great work. The price was the final price - no surprises at the end! I believe this company is full of integrity, doesn't cut corners and I would highly recommend using them.

We are looking forward to enjoying a full summer in our back yard in 2013!!

We are very satisfied with the service which Jay Saveall and his team has provided my husband and I over the past three years. My husband and I getting older and realized that we could no longer maintain the up keep of our property which concerned us both as my husband is a perfectionist. We have just over and acre of lawn plus an area with approximately 25 large maple trees. Green Side Up has been very reliable, they do an excellent job and Leo hasn't moaned once!!

Jay is a very honest man, and the people that work for him are very nice. Jay provides us with the option to spread our payments out of twelve months which also makes it easier for us. Over the past three years our price has not increased which is also very important to us.

We are extremely happy with Jays services and would highly recommend Green Side Up. I just hope he doesn't get out of the business anytime soon!!

I don't even know where to begin. I've been having my property (and private road) cleared for 9 years now. I met Jay this year and was totally taken in by not only his personality but his complete professionalism. I could go on for days about how amazing he and his service are...but I won't. Do yourself the biggest favour you could ever imagine. HIRE THIS GUY (and his team). It will be the best money you ever spent (and saved by the way) and you can rest assured that it will be done correctly every time. We hired Jay in October because he was offering a great winter package. In the interim, we decided to move. We had to switch our contract as we were only going to be there half the season. He not only willingly change it but gave us a free plow when there was an unexpected snowfall and we were out of the house. Highly recommend.

When Jay asked me if I would be willing to write a review on the work Green Side Up did around my pool this past summer I was delighted!

I found out about Green Side Up through a neighbour who had their drive and walkway interlocked in 2011. They did an amazing job, and the house really stood out from the rest. We are in a fairly new community, my neighbour was the first to do any real landscaping and since then many others have followed suit, keeping the design similar to my neighbours. I mention this as the stone design of the driveway is truly beautiful. This was designed by the team at Green Side Up.

My husband and I had met with three reputable landscaping companies including Green Side Up. Although Green Side Up were not the cheapest, they were the most professional and the most honest. We both picked up a very positive vibe from Jay and one of his guys when they came to scope out the project.

It took several visits to our place for them to lock down a final design for our backyard and pool area, but they did it. Once the design was put together Jay came back once again to review it with my husband and I. We both liked the plan. At the same time Jay thoroughly went through the pricing with us and reviewed the project timeliness. Everything was documented on a contract including a diagram with the actual measurements. (we liked this part) We gave Jay the "A-okay" to proceed.

The project which included 1,500 square feet of interlocking stone around the pool, two pathways and four small gardens made out of armour stone was projected to take three full weeks. Two installments were required. The first payment was for the cost of the material and was due when the material arrived, and the second payment was due when the project was completed.

Although the project took four weeks due to some rain we received the project did stay on budget and we were able to enjoy the second half of the summer enjoying the work that was done by Green Side Up. Both my husband and I have received many compliments on our "back yard paradise" and we have passed along this companies name to many people.

I was referred to Green Side Up from my daughter who has been using them year round for close to ten years. I was having issues with the company who was looking after our property and my husband and I thought it was time for a change! I met with Jay who is one of the owners in March of 2011 to discuss the upcoming coming spring and summer seasons.

Jay's demeanor was unlike anyone else's who I had met in this business. He was very courteous, seemed to be honest, asked lots of questions to understand my husband and I's expectations and concerns. He provided us with pricing that was fair. He did not provide me with the cheapest quote, nor the most expensive. Jay walked me through the quote in detail and explained that I would find companies that would charge much less, but they would likely not provide the quality of service that we deserved. He was right about this as we chose our last contractor on price and they did a terrible job.

Jay and his team started with a spring clean-up in April 2011, and started cutting the grass shortly after that. His business is a family business and his sister ended up cutting our grass on a weekly basis. She (Theresa) kept our property very well manicured, trimming all edges, and removing or blowing off all the excess grass clippings. Part of what we paid for included weekly garden clean-up and our front gardens have never looked so good!!

We continued to use Green Side Up through-out the summer. They also cleaned up all our the leafs off our property. We have 11 large maple trees on our property and when the crew was done cleaning up the leafs I'm not sure my husband could find a handful on our entire property. In fact both of our neighbours complimented us on this and I believe they have since retained Green Side Up.

We used Green Side Up for snow removal and never had any issues. We have also had them interlock our driveway which we, although delayed due to the weather, are extremely happy with.

Both my husband and I are very happy to provide Green Side Up with a very positive review.

And one last thing...Jay uses email to communicate with all of his clients to keep them informed on a variety of different subjects from Market Alerts to reminders to get your snow tires on to "Storm Alert" information.

I just had to write again regarding the :big: snow storm. We revieved about 40 cm of snow here and Jay (according to the truck, I think it was his sister) came to plow my place twice. The first time they cleared enough sidewalk for anyone to walk on and enough of our driveway that we could get in and out of. The second time they returned they did my entire property. When I signed my contract, Jay did explain this to me as he wanted to make sure that all of his clients could get a plow to get in and out for work. I am so thankful for this kind of service and that Jay thinks of all of his clients needs! Jobe Well done and very appreciated!!!

I am a new customer to this company and had signed up with them for snow removal for the first time in October 2012. Having experienced how personable, willing to please and straightforward Jayson was with my questions regarding my expectations I also decided to obtain an estimate on possible lawn maintenance for the 2013 summer and also for trimming of a cedar hedge.

My hedge is an established (approx. 30 years old) cedar hedge that runs along the side of my property, (120 feet deep) and it was partially trimmed about 3 years ago and not since so was what I consider a bit of a challenge. It was at least 6 feet tall and for at least half of the length probably 9 to 10 feet tall. Jayson gave me a price of $200 to trim it and remove all clippings. As cost is always a concern to me I did contact another company for comparison purposes and was quoted a price of $600 or possibly a little lower if it was a ‘cash’ deal.

When I contacted Green Side Up to set up a date for the trimming my call was returned quickly and they were able to set up my appointment within about a week. Jayson came on time, prepared with proper, customized tools for the job and worked quickly and efficiently and consulted with me throughout regarding his progress and my expectations. He reacted to any suggestions pleasantly and thoroughly and the cleanup was complete and totally to my satisfaction. I am very pleased with his work and with the price and look forward to continuing to do business with this company.

I had a boring grass backyard with tons of dandelions. Transformed into a lovely colorful, grass free, easy to maintain, lots of interest
with gravel pathways, incorporating trees, shrubs, and perennials, granite rocks for interest. My front garden is now grass free, no more mowing. I have a lovely wooden trellis with clematis growing up.
