Stone Consulting Group Inc. No Longer In Business

I am extremely happy with the granite I purchased from Stone Consulting Group. Everyone I came into contact with went above and beyond when it came to customer service. Tyler suggested I look at remnants and I found 2 beautiful pieces of granite and saved money as well. I have no hesitations whatsoever in recommending Stone Consulting Group.

I would like to thank stone consulting group for their amazing work on our kitchen. we are 100% satisfied with the work and will highly recommend them to friends and family for their professionalism.

The price is fair and the customer service is superb. Tyler was our stone expert and he made sure everything was going alright to the last minute. He doesn't try to sell you their product to make money but rather to make the home owners happy.

We can't say enough great things about this group - of all the trades that were involved with our reno, these folks were the best to deal with. Friendly, helpful and accommodating, in the sales process, prices were the most reasonable, the finished product was extremely timely in its completion and installation was fast, tidy and professional. Tyler followed-up to check on the job... we truly couldn't have asked for a better experience and will certainly use them when our kitchen and other bathrooms are ready for their products!

I found out about SCG at the Home & Garden Show - they were the most friendly and helpful (Andrea). After receiving a few quotes, SCG's price was unbeatable. From start to finish, Tyler was AMAZING to deal with. Responsive to all inquiries in a very timely manner, dealt well with all our last minute changes (and my 1,000 questions), and worked within our budget. We are VERY pleased with the finished product (Ceasarstone Quartz counters & subway tile ceramic backsplash). Follow up afterwards was unexpected. We are already planning to re-do our bathrooms with SCG. HIGHLY recommend the team here - you would be hard pressed to find a better contractor to work with.

We purchased a new home and were looking at redoing the countertops in the kitchen. I contacted more than ten companies and Tyler and the team at Stone Consulting Group was the only company willing to come out and provide us a quote. All of the other companies just asked us to send in measurements and then could provide a rough quote. Tyler came at a time that suited us provided and he provided some suggestions and guidance as we really had no idea where to start. He did what as in our best interest, such as asking if I felt comfortable removing the old countertops and and doing the plumbing myself as it would save me a bunch of money.

Regardless to say we decided to go with Stone Consulting Group. We met at their showroom and went through some options. The team here worked together to get us what we wanted at a price that was more than competitive. So competitive that we even ended up having enough money to redo the upstairs bathroom vanities as well. They provided the pros and cons of each of the products such as quartz and granite and we ended up settling on Caesarstone.

He had a tight deadline as we wanted the countertops installed prior to us moving in which gave Stone Consulting Group just over a week from templating to install. However, they were able to make this happen. They showed up Thursday night, the day we got possession, at 6pm did the templating, came back the next day to do a template fit, and then came back the following Friday to do the install.

We were impressed already but the installation team took this to a whole new level. They were polite, respectful, fast, and took incredible pride in their work. For example, there was a 1 inch piece of quartz on the side of the countertop that is exposed but next to the fridge so not visible. The installer, sorry forgot his name, notice that it had not been polished so he took the time to hand polish this small piece even though it was not going to be visible unless I removed my fridge.

When they were installing the vanity in the master bath the installer noticed that the backsplash as cut about an ? of an inch too short on side (not their fault, our wall mirror was not level) so he didn’t install it. He said that he could shim it up but if we were laying in our bathtub and looked under the counter we would see a gab. Seriously like I would have noticed, but that is just a testament to the quality of work that they do. So he remeasured and then were back on Monday, three day later to install the new backsplash.

We are more than impressed by the whole team at Stone Consulting Group and have been recommending them to everyone we know.

My husband and I first met Tyler Filipchuk and the Stone Consulting Group at the Home and Garden show. We were looking for a granite company that would replace our kitchen countertops, two bathrooms and fireplace with granite. This installation included new under mount sinks/taps and new backsplash. We chose Stone Consulting Group (after checking out five other granite companies at the show) due to their high level of knowledge, professionalism and initial helpfulness.
Tyler was the coordinator of our project which included taking detailed laser measurements of our kitchen and bathrooms. He was professional, well organized and kept in touch with us over the entire period. He was also able to coordinate and work well with another cabinet installation sub contractor.
Our journey began when Tyler took us to a very large granite warehouse with a huge selection of granite. Tyler gave us a guided tour and provided professional guidance with respect to the varieties of granite available and different cost levels. He then assisted us in choosing kitchen backsplash, under mount sinks and high end kitchen and bathroom tap hardware. The installers were courteous and meticulous within their areas of specialization. The installers were careful of our hardwood, carpets, existing cabinets, etc. They always cleaned up after themselves and left our home the way they found it.
The project costs were kept in line with the quotes originally provided. Any changes were openly discussed in an easy going fashion.
We took the time to write this review because we highly recommend Stone Consulting Group to Calgary and surrounding areas. Not many companies take the ownership and pride that Stone Consulting showed us. We are extremely pleased with the upgrades and very fortunate to have found SCG!

I contacted many companies when replacing my kitchen granite. Many companies advertised prices that didn't match their quote which frustrated me. I selected Stone consulting group as Tyler was very prompt to provide a quote and they had a wide selection of stone at a reasonable price. The next steps of design, fabrication, and install did not disappoint. Tyler was excellent to work with throughout the process - very personable and professional, the office staff prompt and courteous, and the installers proficient. In the end, the entire process was exceptional, and I have a product that looks fantastic at a price that was very reasonable.
