Decluttering apartment

I contacted Order in the House as I was getting increasingly stressed with the amount of clutter in my place, and the things that needed to get done that I never seemed to find the time for. Rachael, Pamela and Susan were all fantastic and it was a pleasure to work with them. I am in love with my apartment again and actually feel so much more relaxed when I'm there. Definitely worth it and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Organising the Home Office

Rachael is amazing!

I had tried to organise my home office last summer, but due to a crazy work schedule had to postpone and postpone again until this spring. She totally worked with me in trying to "get 'er done" in a short period of time (I'm back to my crazy work schedule). In a FEW HOURS my office was organised. Mounds of papers were filed, shredded and recycled. Electronics, supplies, books and keepsakes were grouped and everything ended up having a home! Rachael comes up with a system that will work for you.

A huge weight has been lifted as I was living with that mess for months and forcing my new live-in boyfriend to deal with it, too.

Looking forward to having her come back to tackle my closets later this year (fingers crossed).

Decluttering & Organization

Last fall, Rachel helped me declutter and organize years worth of stuff that was taking up space in my house (mainly outgrown children's toys, memorabilia, old books and VHS tapes, etc.) I wouldn't have known where to start without her, nor would I have made as much progress without her help! In only 4 sessions, she (along with various assistant organizers) had transformed our sunroom, basement, foyer and garage. Rachel kept me on track and helped make the decluttering process painless. She had a straightforward sorting system (keep, donate, toss) and having her take the items for donation at the end of each session made sure that they didn't find their way back into my home. She also had some inexpensive organizational solutions to keep these areas functional and looking neat on an ongoing basis. I would highly recommend Rachel - she was friendly, professional and reasonably priced. She always responded to my emails quickly and arrived for our sessions on time. I will absolutely use Order in the House again.

If you have a large volume of stuff to declutter and want to make progress quickly, I also recommend having Rachel and one of her assistant organizers. I couldn't believe how seamlessly they worked together and how quickly things moved with two organizers. Each of my sessions was only three hours (four hours for the garage) and that was the right length of time to tackle a room with the help of two organizers.

Home organizing and de cluttering

Rachel did an outstanding job on my home. She is amazing...so professional and she really made a difficult job seem so effortless. I really appreciated her attention to detail and how she made me feel so comfortable and at ease during a process I've always found so stress-inducing. I have recommended her to my friends and will continue to do so. To say that she changed my home and how it works for the better would be an understatement!

Organization & Decorating

The service I received from Order in the House was exceptional. Rachael made what I thought would be a very difficult task manageable. The transformation is quite remarkable. Rachael has a gift for organization. She created systems for organizing my space that work for me. She was efficient, kind and patient. I now a space I can finally enjoy.

Decluttering and Organizing

Rachael and her team at order in the house are phenomenal. We had over 30 years of stuff to Declutter and organize. They were patient, understanding and beyond helpful. We went through a basement filled with 30 years of furniture and lots of useless things in one day. Thank you so much order in the house we can't wait until are next session to tackle the main floor!!!

Household

My life changed when I met Rachel from Order in the House. I always felt so disorganized and hated paper work. Through working with Rachel I realize now that having a place for everything makes a big difference and makes life so much easier, frees up more time for doing other things and spending precious time doing what I love. I was especially happy with the organization of our closets and kitchen and when I did my first on line banking transaction I think my neighbours heard my scream for joy. I am so happy to have met Rachel and think Order in the House is the BEST organizing service. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am. Thank you Rachel.

Moving elderly parents

Rachel and her team helped my parents move from Toronto to a home in Hamilton that is more suited to their advanced age. I live in Bermuda so I could not help them. Rachel helped instead - and did a much better job than I ever could have. My parents were thrilled with Rachel and her team (and their beautifully unpacked new home) and I got the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are safely and happily settled. Rachel was conscientious and reliable and she stuck to her budget but , more importantly, she took the extra step of always keeping me informed of how the move was progressing, and how my parents were doing. She even sent photos of my parents new home all set up. It was great!

Preparing for Baby

Order in the House changed my life. Up until Rachael helped me organize I had a junk room that moved with my husband and I from apartment to apartment and then into our house. That room was always unusable, and while there were many items there that were special to me I had no idea what to do with them. It blows my mind to think of all the money wasted on housing those un-used items.

When I was expecting my 2nd child we desperately needed help in clearing out the 3rd floor to make space. It was incredible how fast and efficient Rachael was - we did most of it in two sessions. We re-claimed our house and decluttered. Now the playroom is my favourite room because it is the easiest to clean! There is a place for everything and I can tidy up quickly. It's a joy and I so wish we had used her sooner.

Also, I have ADHD and Rachael was able to work with my and my challenges around prioritizing and finishing tasks. It was terrific and I would not hesitate to recommend Order In the House to everyone!

Condo Organizing

My boyfriend and I got our first place and it took moving in together to realize just how messy and disorganized we both were. Within a week, our new home was a disaster! We couldn’t find anything, there were clothes everywhere and worst of all, it was causing HUGE fights between the two of us! We both had our bad habits, but we didn’t know how to fix them. Once Rachael had her first consultation with us and gave us our first dose of ‘homework’, we got excited about finding out WHY we do what we do and how we can fix it. After some tough organizing love, we finally got organized! Rachael’s “everything has a home” theory is what I live by now! Whenever things start to get a little cluttered again, I start putting everything back in it’s ‘home’ where it belongs. It’s a constant learning curve, but once you learn Rachael’s helpful techniques, you can stay organized for good. It’s so nice to FINALLY come home to a clean house! Thanks Rachael!
