Adcor Construction And Sons

We just had Adcor repair and update our front porch, the work was excellent and Shane, Jeff and the crew were great to work with. The work was done on time and on budget even with some minor changes. The porch looks great, but just as importantly, the company and the crew were friendly, flexible and professional. We'll definitely be having them back for more work and I would highly recommend Adcor.

I've used Adcor for 3 large projects and a handful of smaller projects. I always found them to be professional and their workmanship (especially carpentry) is second to none.

Summary of the projects: The first project was a two story addition on the back of our house. The first was an extension of our kitchen and the second story was an incredible bathroom that was featured in a magazine. The second project was a custom garage to replace a 100 year old garage. The third project was a 2 story addition on the front of our house where the first story is a porch and the second story is study room.

We've hired a handful of different contractors over the years but Adcor is by far the best for 4 main reasons. First, if you've ever needed building permits in an older neighbourhood (we are in the Glebe), it is a pain... Adcor took care of it easily. Second, they are SUPER clean. This is especially important if you are living in the house during a big renovation. The job site was always clean - no other contractor we've worked with was as clean. Third, they have extensive experience with older homes which is invaluable. They told exactly what to expect before they opened up the walls so we had no surprises. Lastly, their finishing workmanship, especially their carpentry is exceptional. All of our projects match the original architecture of our house.

They are not the least expensive contractor but they are also not the most expensive. We've found their pricing to be fair and great value for the quality of work. I would not hesitate to refer Adcor or to hire them for my next project.

Have been pursuing company to complete warranty work for 4 months. It is a 5 year warranty and this is only year 1, so that isn't encouraging. They (primarily the proprietor) fail to return calls, they email saying that they we'll be contacted and they miss booked appointments.

ADCOR's team was absolutely spectacular. We had a massive home renovation project in a 100 year old Glebe home that involved the kitchen, 3 bathrooms, walk-in closet, structural work, new electrical system, among other elements.

From the start to the finish Shane's team was professional, precise and friendly. I'd like to single out project leaders Andrew and Malcolm for being masters of their craft. Andrew's deep knowledge of the challenges faced when working in an old Victorian home was incredible. Malcolm knew every element of renovation and construction and worked tirelessly until every detail was absolutely perfect. The rest of the team was great as well. I really can't say enough kind words or recommend them more highly. A pleasure to work with, and the house looks phenomenal. Thanks guys!

We hired ADCOR Construction Inc. Shane is the founder, owner, and manager of this residential and commercial renovation company. Our project was on a large scale since it involved a demolition of the entire inside of the home and the removal of the entire roof, in order to do a complete rebuild of our home from top to bottom, and to add a third floor to our two story house. Only the brick walls and the studs were retained.
Everything else was rebuilt, including all of the plumbing and electrical.
Shane's employees have good skills and sound knowledge, they work hard and smart, they are incredibly polite and professional, and they maintain a clean workspace [this is one of the important look-fors when searching for a contractor.]
Unlike some project management companies, ADCOR has a large staff of trained people.
The follow up work by ADCOR has always been immediate and thorough.
Anyone that has walked into my new home usually is slightly winded by the beauty and quality. A very common comment is - "this looks like a show case home." This project can be seen on the ADCOR website.
