I called Enbridge due to a slight gas odour and was shocked to find out I had a faulty shut off valve on my furnace which was causing gas to leak into the air. My gas was turned off at the meter and I needed this fixed right away as the outside temperature was just above zero. I called Rafal at Bluemax Heating and Cooling and told him what the issue was. He responded immediately and gave my emergency top priority. Within 20 minutes he was at my house and was able to confirm the problem and correct it within half an hour. From previous experience with this company I knew how professional and reliable they were. Bluemax is a company I can count on when the situation is urgent. Rafal eased my mind with a quick repair and had my gas turned back on in no time. He is highly skilled, flexible and extremely personable. I would recommend Bluemax for any heating or cooling issue. They are tops in customer service and knowledgeable in all HVAC systems.

Fantastic service, very courteous and professional. We had these items installed in a home we recently purchased and we asked Rafal to let us know if he noticed anything that may need to be repaired (by someone else) while he was in our crawlspace/furnace room/back yard and he went out of his way to make sure we had as much detail as possible about fixes. He also gave us all of the information we needed to make sure everything keeps running properly, and was very patient with me and my husband while we went back and forth about which appliances to install. He was also very quick! We are looking forward to having him back to install a humidifier once some of our renovations are complete.

Rafal has previously installed a new water heater for me and also services my gas fireplaces. This time I needed a fireplace repair, he was there the next day and quickly fixed it. Professional (rare these days), reliable, excellent service - I highly recommend.

Blue Max showed up on time. First thing Rafal did was to put down canvas down to the furnace room.
They did a fabulous with hot water tank and new piping. I have asked Rafal for pricing on a furnace which they will be doing for us.

Rafal at BLUEMAX is one of those guys that shows up on time, and does a great job for a fair price. He's worked on our furnace in the past, and just installed a humidifier recently. He's one of only a few trades I've ever dealt with where I felt I was being dealt with completely honestly.

Contacted Bluemax over the phone and told Rafal of my hot water tank situation. He had me send pictures through text message and quoted a price, after which I choose to use his services. He was prompt arriving on time and completed the job quickly and at the quoted price. He took care to leave my basement cleaner then when he arrived. I bought an old(er) home that I'm renovating to flip. Having no clue on the process of converting an oil furnace to gas - I enlisted homestars to help me find the right contractor for the job.

Our rental water heater has been proclaimed legally dead by the service technician after 13 years of service. we started looking around for advice and reviews on the different types water heaters. spoke with three companies including this one plus the pushy rental company that owns the broken water heater. I spoke with Rafal and gave me a quick rundown on our options, but since a lot of the technical terms were foreign to me he offered to visit our home the same day i made the initial phone call and assess our layout and make the proper recommendation based on our needs. he was very punctual and took the time to explain to us in layman's terms the best options for our household needs. we appreciate that we didnt feel like we were being sold more expensive models that was more than what our household needed. he let us know that he was fully booked for the next day but since that would mean that we would be left without hot water for the weekend, he took the time to make changes in his schedule to fit us in for next day installation. the next day, he was punctual as usual and took great care in making sure that no damage was done to our home while he was removing the old, broken tank and while he was installing the new one. he even noticed a small leak in our HVAC system and offered to fix it at no extra cost. he works efficiently and well within the timeline he provides. He provided us with quality and superb service and would highly recommend him and his company to anyone who needs HVAC servicing or to those who are sick and tired of the endless rental charges from these pushy door to door companies.

Our A/C broke down rather suddenly in July during a hot spell. Rafal came over and assessed the problem which was a leak. Given the age of the A/C which was over 25 years old we decided to replace it. He recommended we go with a 3 tonne unit and we asked if we could move the new one to the side of the house. The installation was done and we are very happy with the new unit. I would have no problem recommending Rafal and Bluemax to anyone wanting any HVAC work.
