A & Wes Tile

We had the remarkable good fortune to find Wes and have him do this project for us! You will likely read so many extremely positive reviews on the work he does, and all I can say is BELIEVE them! He is not just incredible and a perfectionist but, he is also an artist in the way he can place tiles. Every detail was tended to and the workmanship impeccable.

His quote was very competitive with timelines and results occurring as he said they would. Spend five minutes talking with him and you know he is passionate about the work and delivering remarkable outcomes. He is going to be our first call when we look at more projects (we expect to redo the bathrooms in the coming year or so).

We found Wes through Home Stars and could not have been more impressed with his professionalism, impeccable craftsmanship, and close attention to detail. He also provided invaluable guidance that helped us choose the right tiles for the shower, tub surround, and floor. The approx cost includes the tile (not just his labour which was very reasonable and less than other estimates we had gotten). If you need a tiler, Wes is your guy!

Wes is very professional and his work is excellent. He is very particular about how things are done. He takes his time to make sure that everything is perfect. He did 2 jobs for us one large job that took approximately a month and the other job about a week. Both jobs turned out beautiful we are very pleased with everything. He is also a very pleasant person to have working in your home. We cant say enough good things about him.

Due to water damage we required new tiles in our basement shower and on the bathroom floor. Wes was able to troubleshoot when issues arised. He did a fantastic job tiling and dealing with "surprises" found behind and under the existing surround and bathroom floor. The tiles are beautifully installed and Wes had many excellent suggestions about tile layout and things that I never even thought about. It is a tiny shower and the niches and tiling on the ceiling are very practical and beautiful.

He recommended tile stores and a plumber for us; and, mounted the vanity with sink to the wall as well. Thanks to Wes we can use the shower without fear that it will leak!

We needed to have our shower stall redone as water had gotten behind the tiles.
He recommended removing the shower and redoing it with large size tiles and a pebble style floor. This worked really well.

I hired Wes to help install a backsplash in my kitchen and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. He is nothing short of a perfectionist and takes a huge amount of pride in his work. If another project pops up I won't hesitate to hire him again. A few highlights of my experience with Wes:

* He was courteous, humorous and knowledgeable when he arrived to provide an estimate. I was impressed enough with how insightful and thorough he was to hire him almost immediately after I got his quote.

* His quote was extremely competitive. Especially considering the sheer amount of time and labour it takes planning around things like wavy/warped walls in an older house and meticulously cutting each sheet of tile around things like plugs.

* The work Wes completed was amazing and it comes down to his understanding of what looks good and what doesn't. His experience tackling difficult problems and knowing how to solve them. His exceptionally high attention to detail. I still look at the tiles he installed for me and can't stop thinking about how much thought he put into tile placement to make sure they didn't stop abruptly in odd places. Or the precision of the cuts he made. There are numerous places where he made insanely accurate cuts for notches no bigger than a few centimeters wide. I don't know how he did it but he even installed slivers of tile under a window above my sink for the sake of being the perfectionist that he is.

The pictures don't really do a good job of showing how much his work brightened up my kitchen. But he's made our kitchen look significantly better.
