We had the popcorn ceilings removed from our entire house (2000sqft or so) by Ceiling Stucco Removal. Debated doing this ourselves as part of a whole house renovation and very glad we didn't. It's a messy job but I think our ceilings look significantly better now. We had a few people through to quote, but since this is all these guys do they seemed like the best choice. One of the guys ended up coming back to do some touch ups on areas we pointed out. Forget his name, but he was very friendly and helpful. There were still a few areas that we had to touch up after in terms of paint, but it wasn't the end of the world. They did the hardest part! Should also mention that they work quickly. Came home after they worked there for a day and all the popcorn was down already. A lot of the work looks like it goes more into the repair and making it look good after the scraping. To summarize, if you're debating doing this, it makes a huge difference and make sure you get the pros in to do it.

Hired Ceiling Stucco Removal Inc. to remove the popcorn ceiling on the upper floor bedrooms and hallway. The floors were covered but not the walls as we are planning on repainting the bedrooms. We also sealed up with plastic and painters tape the closets and bathrooms to minimize dust. Note: Our popcorn ceiling was primed and painted many years ago with oil based paints therefore it was not possible to just moisten and scrape the ceiling. A sanding machine on a pole with an attachment to a shop vac was used to sand down the ceiling. Then an initial coat of quick dry material was used. Then a second coat was applied with normal drywall mud which was then left to dry overnight. They left large fans running all night to help the drying process. On day two a third coat of mud was applied and left to dry overnight. On day three the hand sanding took place with lots of dust which was expected. We also placed some of the fans in the bedroom windows to try to blow out some of the dust during sanding. Then the ceiling was primed and any touch ups were taken care of as well, then the ceiling was painted as we asked for the ceilings to be painted. On day four I noticed a couple of other spots that needed to be touched up and Louis arranged for one of the guys "Julian" to come back and complete the touch ups. Over all the work completed was well done by Ceiling Stucco Removal Inc., I would recommend them to anyone looking to have this type of work done.

The stucco removal was amazing. It gave the house such a modern look and the pot lights made it even better. They took a total of about 5 days. 1 day to insert pot lights on the main floor. 2 days for stucco removal and ceiling leveling/painting for the whole house (1700sqft). And 2 days for painting the living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and hallway. I like the fact that they could do all the work instead of me having to get separate contractors.Louie was accommodating since we wanted the work done immediately. The clean up was excellent. You wouldn't even guess that we ever had stucco. In my opinion the value of the house went up which is a bonus.

Great experience. They removed all traces of our dated stucco to what is now, our smooth clean ceilings. Took extra care to protect our personal item and did a fanatic clean up. Would definitely recommend them.

We just bought a new house and had Ceiling Stucco Removal come to remove all the old popcorn ceiling. It was very easy to get a hold of them with questions / concerns from the initial quote to the end of the project. We had to get some other drywall repaired and they were able to do that for us too.
The ceilings look great, I would recommend them to anyone.

Louie and his team are outstanding, the job of removing popcorn ceiling is a messy one and many people fear the work involved, however I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who is considering to remove popcorn stucco ceilings. They did an amazing job! The work was very neat and looked flawless and beautiful once finished. They left the job site looking cleaner than before they started. The staff were very pleasant and hard working. I would definitely recommend them!!
