I called Creative Door to have them fix my overhead garage door. They took my credit card number to confirm the appointment. They wouldn’t give me a time, just an 8 hour window between 11 am and 7 pm. As a result, I had to take ½ day off work. Their service technician didn’t come to our house until 6:50 pm (so I took the time off for nothing) and when he arrived he simply said there was a broken gear. Despite the fact it was a common problem he didn’t have the part on his truck so he said I’d have to book another appointment. His visit lasted less than 10 minutes and he didn't seem interested in helping since it was close to the end of his shift. I called Creative Door the next day and they gave me a quote to replace the door opener that was higher than their competitors plus it included an additional $60 for the “diagnostic visit”. I was able to find another company to replace the opener. Two weeks later I received a bill in the mail from Creative Door for $60 related to the diagnostic visit and my credit card had been charged. I called them to say their service technician hadn’t done anything but tell me my door was broken, something I already knew. I’d booked an appointment to have my door fixed and I didn’t think it was right they should charge me for something they didn’t do especially since it wasn’t my fault they didn’t have the right part on their truck. The lady at Creative Door told me that was too bad but it was their policy to charge for diagnostic visits. I sent an email to their corporate site but received no response.

Our garage door mechanism broke making it impossible to move the door. Creative Door was able to come out to fix it within 48 hours of our call (would've come sooner if I requested it as an "emergency"). The repair was done in less than 30 minutes. The employee was able to show me the problem with the wires and also recommended a replacement of both spools to avoid a similar problem in the near future. The employee was pleasant and professional.

Garage door was installed by this company as a contractor to the building company I built my house with. For half a year the garage door was not used (it stored unpacked boxes and furniture), when we began actually using the garage door we found out right away it was defective. We contacted the installer, and fought for over a year to get the problem solved. Involvement of the lawyer helped the resolution. Since then, the problem reoccured twice. In those cases we had to pay. On one occasion, the service man showed up, mentioned he needed a part,said he would come in two days and never came up again,until I called in a few months. Horrible experiences. I built three houses and never had a problem like this.

They were very knowledgeable on their own product and I felt they we truthful (in admitting that garage door springs aren't made to last). I felt they were a little too expensive and there is no 'do it yourself' option. The service was great however. He showed up on time and completed the work quickly.

This company has the most Horrible customer service i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Reception is RUDE, calls are not returned, emails are ignored! Will never deal with them again!

Our garage door was squealing initially. Over time, the squealing became a grating noise to the point of the door not opening. CD came out and replaced the springtube and lubricated all of the tracks. Service time took about 15 minutes and was completed to our satisfaction.

excellent customer service helped me make an educated decision towards replacement of my door, scheduliing a technician to come out and replace it was easy, the came and replaced my door very fast and professional left with a great ne wdoor and warm garage

We are glad they fixed our garage door, but we did have some minor issues. The staff were late. It took forever to make an appointment with the company. And on the day of the appointment, they were 2 hours late. And it took them awhile to fix the garage. They had to leave a couple of times to get parts. It would have been nice if they came prepared. Eventually, they did fix the garage door and we didn't have any issues with it since.

I had an insulated door and jackshaft opener installed 3 years ago and already the door has sagged significantly in the centre. I have a heated garage, and because of the sagging door centre there is an approximate 1/2" air gap at the top of the door. As you can imagine the heat escapes rapidly in the winter and the heating bills are mounting. I contacted the company and they came to look at the door and insist that there is nothing wrong with it, but the service person told my wife he could install new weather stripping (at our cost) to seal the door tot he jamb again. My wife was also told that doors installed with jackshaft operators sag because there is no centre support on the door when it's in the open position. That would have been nice to know when this opener was recommended to us by the sales rep. Anyway, I don't think that adding more weatherstripping to a bowed door is an acceptable solution, the door will continue to bow and the exterior appearance will be odd because of the curvature of the horizontal weatherstrip bar. I spoke to the manager about my concerns after getting no where with the service manager and he promised to look into it and get back to me. It's been 3 weeks and no call back. Be warned, don't buy anything from these guys, it sure seems that they don't know their own products and don't really care about you after the sale.

Purchased garage doors from Home Depot, Creative Door was installer. Prompt and fast service. Installer was friendly and helpful. Did the job the right way the first time! Company took the old doors away no garbage left behind.
