We contracted with TAC Ottawa to redo our driveway with their revolutionary new PurePave technology. The product utilizes an environmentally friendly material that drains water effectively. The surface is comes in many different colours, will not crack from the thaw/freeze cycle in Canadian winters and the curb appeal is fantastic. Strongly recommend this product and TAC Ottawa to install it for you..

After a year a few cracks appeared on the driveway and also stones started to be missing from the surface after winter. All this should be covered with warranty. I was promised repairs in fall 2018, however, the season ended early, so they moved me to spring 2019. Now it's September 2019 and they never came back. They no longer respond to emails or return the calls

Edit: the repairs finally took place in October 2019. They also put a new layer of finish to protect the stones from falling out from the surface, which were quite noticeable after 3-4 years of having the driveway. Now the driveway looks much better.

I would have given 5 stars but the schedule of installation was delayed and the communication with Tar and Chip was very difficult.

Promises to return phone calls were never kept.

The driveway is the talk of the neighbour hood and we have had numerous positive comments and have spent hours explaining the
product and procedure of the install.

I would recommend this product as an alternative to interlock as the price is comparable.

We had our driveway done last Fall. TAC Ottawa did a nice job. We were assured it would stand up to snowplowing and normal wear and tear. Unfortunately, the new lawn we had seeded last Fall now is scattered with loose stones from our snowblower this past Winter, and there are several ruts in the driveway as well as collapsed edges, both from a delivery of top soil last week, as well as from normal driving of our vehicles into the garage. We sent an email hoping to get a response to our problem 9 days ago, but so far no word back. I'll be happy to update my review if more positive results are forthcoming and lasting.

Well I just got a new driveway from TAC Ottawa. Called Gemstone it looks great and is a conversation piece in the neighbourhood. Gemstone allows a personized approach to various colour offerings for your driveway to coordinate with your house brick and surroundings. When researching this novel driveway covering I had to get reassurance from the company that it would stand up to snow removal in the winter with a blower. Plough probably will be too damaging. And being impatient I was not always that understanding of weather related delays. Nevertheless, TAC Ottawa did show up on the days they said they would to do the work. An additional selling feature is the company’s 2 year proactive warranty which provides assurance of any required aftercare if necessary.

TAC surfaced our driveway and also a walkway and patio. The driveway is the standard TAC black, the other two surfaces are the more decorative stone finish. They were courteous and responsive. They helped us solve tricky design problems, and the finished project looks great. We would recommend this company.

TAC was responsive, did what they committed to, and so far the product is excellent.
The walk way required border stone and TAC looked after subcontracting the work--good design and end product.

Just had our driveway resurfaced by TAC Ottawa and we are overjoyed at the job they did. From start to finish they were professional, courteous and went above and beyond expectations to make sure we were satisfied. Our large driveway is the envy of our neighbours and friends.

This is not a product suited for our climate. The driveway was installed by Tar and Chip 2 years ago. At first it looked great however Mother Nature i.e. Winter is a problem. Driveways need to be plowed and this is where the product falls short as it does not withstand driveway clearing. It is a constant worry to ensure that clearing companies do not clear the snow too close to the surface. The product should be more robust but it is not. I do not recommend this product, better to have your driveway paved.

Excellent product; attentive service and response; good follow-up on work done and topping of the driveway and the walkway also done at the same time. Many compliments on the look of the driveway and its texture. Completely satisfied with the product and with the service. Would highly recommend to others. Much cheaper than conventional asphalt driveways and guaranteed not to crack like they do.
