A 1 Checkmate Wildlife Removal & Prevention.

I feel fortunate to have found Louis, A1 Checkmate, recommended by the Town of Aurora animal control department. During skunk breeding season, we had a persistent skunk mother who had built a warm home for herself and her babies under our shed. We tried different solutions like Critter Riddle and moth balls, but nothing worked. We even contacted a pest control company that ripped us off. Feeling helpless, the town recommended A1 Checkmate, and Louis came right away to give us a free estimate, while most other companies quoted me $90 to $150 for estimation. The next day, he built nets around our shed, removed the skunks, and cleaned the site before he left. Thank you, Louis! It was great to work with you.

Louis removed a Raccon mom from my attic and fixed the roof as well. He came back again to address my concerns after 8 month!! If you have any issues with wild animals, Louis is your guy.

Unknown pests setup shop in our house, and of course we needed someone to get to our attic and roof to check it out. Louis was the consummate professional who is friendly, knowledgeable and available to respond to a fluid situation. Where momma raccoon relocated from different locations in the house over course of a couple of days and Louis made sure to get the everyone out safely and humanely. Additional work was done to add safety metal coverings over all the roof vents and preventative sealing to roof corners. Thank you for all the great work and attention to details and keeping our home safe.

We discovered a skunk under the shed in our backyard, and it was destroying our lawn! I contacted three companies, and Louis was the most responsive! He replied to my email inquiry with a phone call, almost immediately! He explained clearly what services his company provides, and offered to have Dave give us an estimate that day! He also had Dave contact me when he was on his way. That was most helpful, so I had an estimate of his arrival time. When Dave arrived, he assessed the situation, and in consultation with Louis, via phone, a quote was provided. I hired him to do the work, and he came the very next day!! Dave worked tirelessly to complete the work, digging a trench, installing a one way door, and metal mesh screening around the perimeter of the shed. He was very thorough, despite having to dig around tree roots on one side of the shed.
We are so grateful for Louis and Dave! They're honest and hard-working, and they provide excellent customer service, with their work guaranteed for five years! If we ever have a wildlife issue again, we'll contact them, and we will absolutely refer them to our friends and neighbours!

If I could give Louis a higher rating than a 10, I would. Hes been working in pest control for decades, and it shows.

He ensured that the pests that had entered our house were removed, but equally importantly, he sealed up all potential exterior points of entry. Vents, crawl space gaps, small foundation cracks, even under vinyl siding. Caulk, spray foam, cement, caging, he utilized all of it to seal up our home. As an aside, our home is markedly warmer than it was before, and no pests!

Ive already passed Louis name onto friends, and will continue to do so. This guy is a rare treasure, an extremely skilled, attentive and caring professional.

Louis is fantastic! Friendly, professional and caring. Weve used his services twice, once for rats under our deck and in our crawl space, and most recently because a squirrel was destroying our third story window frame to make a nest.
